Recently many people have asked to "Twitter" on my website to update news about my business. While I'm not totally ignorant about this new web service, I'm already quite a dormant user on Facebook and the once-popular Friendster. So if you ask me to join another "social networking website", definitely it will take some big pondering and egging.
I'm still very interested in the twittering though because I do have limited time on the computer. At work, my staff Rachel (notice I didn't just put "At work, Rachel...) gets on my laptop and runs the show from there. My job scope is more of a salesperson, a purchaser and then a repairman, so there isn't much computer related work to do. At home, I do not personally own a computer so it's really not easy to get to use one, so when I heard that you can SMS to twitter, it sounds really cool!
The troublesome part comes thereafter, so I can post easily, then do I get to monitor the responses easily? Is it better to use the chatbox on my website instead as I can monitor spam, delete inapproriate messages? That's the part I find it "blocking my path" to twitter... and will anyone really read it? Hahaha... that's for time to find out.
Nonetheless, today I found that there's really nothing much to do at my own home except watching tv. Do you find it the same? Or do you get home, do the usual stuff and then just go straight to bed? Most likely the majority of you guys will be on the COMPUTER doing all sorts of stuff like gaming, like MSNing (or twittering, if it's more convenient), or even... watching shows? (AHEM) So ends up we still watch tv but we watch things we want to watch and at our convenience, eg Youtube.
My brother doesn't watch the living room's tv except for live football matches but he does spend a whole lot of time watching streaming tv on the computer. The shows he frequently watches are Taiwanese variety shows (I love them too, but it's just too time consuming to watch tv) and football replays for researching purposes. So if you also watch shows on the computer then maybe the surveys on the number of people watching a particular show should extend to watching the show on another medium.
That brings me to the topic of watching more stuff - now on portable devices. So we have the PSP, the DS, the Dingoo, the Iphone, the Ipod Video, handphones with video playback functions, blah blah blah... we can watch anything we want anywhere! We now can watch more tv even as we move around! So cool right?
So if you are reading this...... do note that you are watching a type of tv as well... a story tv or technically, a tv that shows a story in text and nothing else.
Maybe we ought to have a channel that just shows texts and nothing else... it seems plain fun!
Lol.
