After a big win last weekend, I had lost consecutively on 4 bet days...woah. I am still in the black, but the feeling isn't that great when you lose. Hahaha.
Saturday we played soccer during LIFE again. Woah. This time I think I played quite well. First time managed to snatch the ball from Sgt Seet away. He always managed to dodge me so this time I think I quite lucky. I scored one against Sch of Arty their clerk team, and my teammate forced them to make an error and they scored an own goal. Then the next mini game I did very well, constantly made myself a thorn to the other team with some good headers and dribbling...haha. I managed to score one goal with my head in the end. Ok. It was a great game and I hope we can continue playing next week. I think next Wednesday if got LIFE I get them to play basketball. Veri long neva play basketball liao.
Den these days been feeling not veri well. I dun mean physically (physically I feel great man) but mentally. I dunno. Been reflecting on my words, cos they have been somehow criitising, degrading and offensive to others. Need to shut my mouth more often....den dunno what's happening to me too. Been thinking out of the norm about everyone....am i back to my sec days? i not veri sure...haiz..
this morning went swimming with my parents less my bro. so i did the usual 30laps (and acccidentally kicked a little girl who made herself irritating by playing in the "for continuous lap swimming" lane) oops.. then my father said i exercise so much still got the love handles and he doesn't have. wah lau. i mean he's rite la, i still got to work harder somemore, but he needn't say it in a public area? grrrrrrrrrrrrrr......i muz work harder to prove them wrong!!!
Work harder work harder work harder...
Today got an audition at Estarz. Not sure I want to go or not...veri far leh. I think i ask them to reschedule it la...so sian to go todae. I rather go play soccer with junhao.
Let's see how things goes. I muz halt the consecutive losing streak todae!!!!!!!!!!!
Good luck

This is the first time I am blogging in the office. Hahaha. It's my office duty now but nobody has gone for lunch yet. Anyway I just had mine and it was really an overdose of pepper in the bak kut teh. I had to get some chocolate milk to cool off the spicy feeling...
This morning we played soccer in the semi-circle behind the field. This time we got 8 people playing. The last time we played soccer in camp was dunno how many donkey months ago...sigh. Today I din play veri well because my brain was slow thinking, coupled with my slow feet... I also dunno why I dun wan to pass long balls and shoot when the goal is on sight. Need to go back and review how I play my football. My stamina certainly has improved with all the running, but my burst speed still sucks. I think it could be due to fatigue. I slept around 11pm last night, but woke up at 5pm to watch the second half of the Champions League. It was so boring. Why they didn't show Deportivo's match against Juventus? Man U's attack sucked even with Louis Saha. I think Porto played much better. Then the other match shown was Stuttgart and Chelsea. Stuttgart's defence failed with them conceding an own goal. Crespo wasted a few chance, but of course, he had just returned from illness...Anyway these 2 days I lost a total of $74 dollars. Haha.
Today I will like to talk about the Seven Seas brothers. I think some of you should have heard about us. We have a profile on friendster too. Anyway, the Seven Seas Brothers is NOT a gang, so dun report to the police unnecessarily. Haha. Besides that, we dun have 7 people even though the name has a word 'Seven'. Haha. Roughly introduce them in the sequence of seniority below:
Big Brother : Jinki
Jinki is a natural leader with flair and humour, coupled with his ability to mix with ALL sorts of people. I mean some of the really irritating people he is able to become their friend. Really someone of great patience and great thinking. Haha. I am sure you want him to be your friend too.
Second Brother : Jeffire
I got nothing to say about myself, so read on.
Third Brother : Alex
Alex is a fun loving person who has risen from the ashes to join the cream of the crop. He is a sportsman. He is a loyal friend. He is also quite humourous and easy going. Sometimes you find that he's slightly fierce looking cos of his looks, but fret not, he is not any ah beng or what. Alex is a very good looking chap and is already attached..so too bad huh.
Fourth Brother : Junhao
Junhao is a very knowledgeable person. Sometimes you ask him something he can tell you a whole story about the thing. Well, he is also kinda easy going although sometimes he demands the best. He's generous too. (but not with his time, cos he beri busy) He got all sorts of stupid and corny jokes (yeah, the Woolly animal?) which is not funny to me, but his face does look funny enough to warrant a hearty laugh. Haha. He's also talented in music and computers, website design. I think he's still unattached, I dunno why, but perhaps he's always infatuated with Elva Hsiao and Fish Leong..a hardcore collector of their CDs and etc.
Fifth Brother : Kevin
Kevin is the most yandao wan among us. Firstly he got that bad boy look because he really looks like Nicolas Tse (at least that was my first impression of him) However he's actually very gentle, shy type of person. Sometimes he get impatient and flare up but that's because we exceeded his patience and tolerance limit (*oops). He's a very sensitive guy, but he's also modest and does not go around talking big. He's very sporty too and of course he's the man you want to be your boyfriend. Haha. One thing to note that he doesn't like singing so dun keep asking him to sing hor...(but we alwiz do haha)
Sixth Brother : Remy / AI Junk
Junkai is the comic artist, the fashion designer, and the SNAG among us. Of course he sometimes blabber all the vulgarities (man, who in the army doesn't do that?) but in front of girls he's the guy you want. Security fits his bill because he's a fierce loyalist. He doesn't like to play soccer unlike the rest of the brothers, but he's actually pretty good at sports too. He's also quite knowledgeable so got question sometimes can ask him. He will gladly provide you with an answer. He's also a very funny guy, with all sorts of clever jokes that can rip the silence with all the laughter generated. Hahahaha. Veri intelligent being, so dun think he's the junk of AI, that's juz his codename only..
So I introduced the brothers, and so you will start asking when we started, how we started and why.
7seas brothers started sometime in the term after the 1st 3 mths. Exactly when I can't remember because when it was first conceptualised, I was pretty anti the idea. Why? It was because I felt I would never fit in. I always stuck with the discarded, forgotten people in my previous school because the mainstream people were all a clique. I was more of a weirdo and eccentric person so even though I knew so many people I wasn't really liked everywhere. So I was quite taken aback when Kevin asked me about the idea. In the end, I was kinda attracted because of the various personalities in the group. Yes, perhaps it was the natural leadership of Jinki, perhaps it was Remy's all sorts of jokes, perhaps it was Kevin's charm. Anyway, the seniority we later decided to base it on our birthdates cos all of us were born in the same year. The funny thing is that the gap between me and Jinki is 7 mths. Haha. So our celebrations are mostly clumped together in the second half od the year and the start of the year. Anyway slowly we took on the title and acknowledged each other as brothers, and thus the 7seas brothers started its existence on this little island called Singapore.
Why the idea was conceptualised, please go and ask my brothers. That's the biggest mystery to me and perhaps it is also the weakest link in the bond shared among us. I mean, if it was for the title, then it sounds pretty stupid rite? Perhaps the answer will be made known to me when all of us are facing a common crisis.
We all know that someday we have to part. But in what manner? I hope we will only part when one by one, we leave this world and maybe we can again gather together in the other world. Brothers forever.
I will talk about our brotherhood again later if there are something I feel I need to say.
If you got any feedback, please feel me to find me on ICQ or email me @ jeffire@starhub.net.sg. Of course you are free to find me if you want to get to know any of the brothers. Hahaha.

Mid week now. Not much action for the week. I started visiting the gym but I still dun do weights. I tried the cycling machine, the pull up machine and that machine where u do the hip flexing. In all, my aim is to burn off the spare tyre around my waist, haha. Hope in 3 mths time I can report some good results!
Ok, the weekend I won some money, finally yesterday went collect money. Seems like the counter woman not very surprised. The first time I won 8 goals I went AMK Blk 100+ to collect my money and the counter person said I was very lucky. Haha. So with the money I went to get Rensheng's gift and tried to get for Hiei but nothing I saw in Northpoint fancied me. I also bought some games, Winning Eleven 7 International (better control, english commentary!) Fatal Frame 2 (a scary game where u take photos of ghosts), Bomberman Collection (Sucks, old graphics and erratic controls and no 8player battle) Dot Hack 3 and 4 (quite fun RPG) and Bujinga (the main character is modelled against Gackt, my fav jap rock star! Haha I know he ah kua la but he damn cool. The game something like Devil May Cry I think). I only started playing WE7 so the rest I take my time to play lor.
Tml I try to talk abt a special topic if i got time..thinking of going swimming again.

What a great weekend!
On Sat the guys stayed at my home for football action and it was all so exciting. Arsenal continued their winning ways and I am glad I had banked my money on them....hee. Then we played some Winning Eleven. 4 persons in one team is real difficult.....somemore we all think differently in the way of playing (mine is more spanish than english) so in the end we managed to get to the world cup quarter finals only. Then we all retreated to my room and Justin was playing this Yahoo! Game called Backgammon. Din understand what it was until morning, after I woke up. I fell asleep on my bed while watching him. Charles slept on the quilt I provided and Chris slept on the wooden sofa in the living room. Haha. Muz be he din want to sleep with Charles. Justin was playing the whole time we were sleeping. I think he ought to be crowned the King of Taun. Anyway I think this will be the last of the taun as Chris is gonna depart to Taiwan...sighz. After a good breakfast at McDonalds we all departed.
Went back home and listened to Missy Elliot again but still couldn't make out all the words she rapped. But the song was really catchy. Hahaha. Then I fell asleep on my brother's stinko bed till my mum returned home. I had a date with Dan and Pius and Jason at Ponderosa Marina Square as we were celebrating Dan and Pius' birthdays. Had a really full meal! Then we went to play pool. I played averagely...at my best I hit in 3 in a row...haha.
Then we went back to Serangoon together via 133. Jason was misdirected by Dan and he alighted one bus stop earlier, so he had to walk a longer distance. It was actually more of Jason not knowing that a NEW bus stop had been erected nearer to his home....haha. Anyway the meal was so filling I think a little more walking should do him more good than harm.
Then I watched the Liverpool match in dismay. As usual Steven Gerrard did very well, but Michael Owen wasted the penalty and as a result, Liverpool lost. Portsmouth did very well to defend the Pool onslaught. My view is that they should had taken off Owen when Pongolle was called into the match to find that eluding goal. Cheyrou should have remained on the field because the French link together better! Isn't it so? Anyway I hope Michael Owen is sold to some Spanish team so that Liverpool can get a new lease of life. Their current play revolves around Owen...that's dumb.
Then I watched the Tottenham match. It was a great start when 3 goals were scored in the first 15mins. Then the fourth goal came. The 2nd half saw another 4 goals - just nice. I bought 8 goals for the this match and once again broke my personal record winning odds at $47 per dollar wagered. The previous one was $38, S League match which Home United won 5-3 i think....hehe..
A great weekend, and I hope it brings about a great midweek as the Champions League starts again! Now got Vit M so I must think of a great gift for Hiei....dunno what she would like to have...any suggestions, dear readers?

21st Feb 2004 - HQ SA Informal Gathering 3
Now they are outside playing Smackdown! Here Comes the Pain. Since I dun play that game, so I retreated to my bedroom, switched on the music and yeah, here am I, writing this.
Just got Charles' gift. Rensheng's gift I am not very sure what is appropriate so tomolo take another look and decide.
Yesterday the Artillery 100km Relay was a great success. At least for our team. This year we ran much faster than last year. Maybe it's because of more sporty people around so we are all more interested in going LIFE to train and etc. I think I did quite well myself, running 2km (1 leg)under 9mins. My friend told me I ran 8.15, but I dun think I was that fast. However I am pretty sure it's under 9mins. Phew, tot it was going to be tiring but in actual fact, it wasn't. After my leg, I went to play table tennis. Haha. So fun! Our runners (HQ SA) all enjoyed the table tennis games. My boss let the whole group of us leave early, as it was later than what he expected. However he has missed that those who stayed back were those who were participating in the cheerleading team. And they were mostly from his own branch! I mean, what happened to the other people? Some of them weren't in the running team, weren't involved in the exercise, but just disappeared into thin air. Well, life is just so unfair.
So many of my friends are having their birthdays now. Pius, Rensheng, Charles, Dan, Keanbon...awww... the pocket got a hole sia. Haha. Except for Keanbon whom I got to know online, the rest I need to buy something for them or treat them. So for Dan and Pius, as usual, Jason and I gonna treat them. For Rensheng and Charles, I roped in the unit guys to share and I pay the remaining...let's hope everyone have a great birthday, and perhaps achieve their targets set for the year!
Yeah, I do encourage people to set targets for the year, not during the new year, but according to when is your birthday. So you gotta decide what you gonna achieve before your next birthday. Of course not every target you set will be achieved eventually, but the fact that you set it down there makes you at least go try for it. I hope everyone has set their targets for the year and work hard to achieve them!!!
May today be a fun day....sure will miss Chris after he departs for Taiwan.

Yoz. I am back to action again. My mother just screamed at me for not wanting to eat dinner. I couldn't defy her so ate a few bites of vegetables and fish, drank a few mouthful of soup. I ate 2 pears and now a pineapple crust....wonder if you consider this as a healthy dinner?
With this, today's topic will be on Jeffire's Guide on Nutrition, Dieting and Slimming.
Nutrition
======
Today read an article regarding nutrition. I cannot remember where I read it, I think it's Today. Anyway it says nutritious food does not equal to healthy food. Why. The argument is based on nutrition = carbohydrates, proteins, fats, minerals etc, things that help in your growing. So it says McDonald food is also nutritious since they contain all the above. Moreover hamburgers contain ALOT of the above so they are very nutritious. So does this mean McDonald's food is healthy? Of course not. Firstly different people got different needs for nutrition. If you overeat too much, you also overgrow, depending on your own desired size. If you want to remain thin I suppose you won't want to eat much. Secondly the article says that FIBRE got no nutrition value but has immense health benefits. Why? It helps to collect all the unwanted stuff in your intestines and aids you in throwing this trash out.
My idea of nutrition in a diet is 70% carbohydrates, 20% protein and 10% fats. This is considered healthy eating in Singapore, considering that most people eat out and outside food isn't any healthy. I try to get my 10% fat from food which I have to eat, like cookhouse food and breakfast. Otherwise I try to cut down on my fat intake, by eating less fried stuff, less meat. Dun drink so much milk too. I like milk alot so usually I drink soya bean milk. But soya bean milk got alot of sugar, so must work harder to burn it off. At least sugar is easier to burn than fats.
Dieting
======
Dieting means the method of your eating to achieve a healthy lifestyle. By MY definition of healthy eating, I mean 3 proper meals and perhaps more meals and plenty of water. Ok. I strongly encourage you to eat breakfast. One piece of bread, one glass of milo also better than nothing. You need some energy to start the engine running so dun worry. If you happen to be working more in the day, then eat lunch that makes you 70% full. The other 30% you leave till teabreak. Or you eat fruits. During teabreak just have a hot drink or a small snack to keep yourself happy till dinner. A hungry man is an angry man! Dun eat those junk food. Eat snacks like a piece of wheat biscuits, a cup of cereal or a glass of oats etc. You can also eat fruits. Lastly at night, have a small dinner. I dun like to eat dinner but you know it's always dinner that's the nicest. It's after work and the food's great, so you will like to indulge in that. Well, I suggest you eat at home and cook your own food. I dun like my mother's cooking although she cooks very well. It's just that she got zero knowledge on nutrition. Anyway mum's soups are the best so no matter how little you eat just enjoy a bowl of soup. For dinner I prefer eating a bit of meat and vegetables and perhaps a spoonful of rice. You guys never know I actually eat less than half bowl of rice at home for dinner. When I go out I always eat finish what I buy because I think it's sinful to waste food. On the other hand, I dun like to eat that much, so how? Work harder the next day lor. Use your brain more, cos the biggest energy user is not your strong hands, or your quick feet but your brain!!!
Slimming
=======
So we come to the last section on slimming. I believe a good looking person is a healthy person who eats well and does plenty of sport. I like those guys who are tanned and slim. But for those who exude a great flair for sports, I think they are not bad too. I think many girls very lazy sia. So probably they should go dancing or go walking more (yes, i know in your mind it means more shopping, but pls leave me out from that) Anyway to slim down you must achive this, the net energy usage of your body exceeds your net input of energy through eating. To burn energy, the equation is simple, carbohydrates+water+oxygen = energy + carbon dioxide and waste. Like I say, drinking water and doing plenty of aerobic exercise (those that need you to breathe alot) will do wonders to your energy usage. You just need to get the metabolism up, and metabolism comes from your brain, heart, cell regeneration and normal movement that takes up energy. So think more, breathe more, relax more(cell regeneration slows down when you are stress, hence you die and age easier) and move more. Move more means exercise more. If you have some fats here and there in your body, it's ok. You are not a bodybuilder anyway! Just makes sure they are around only to oil your joints, and anyway we only dun like flabby arms, legs and abs. Ok, your body burns energy all the time, but this energy are those that are stored in your muscles. You must execise long enough so that your body cannot wait for these energy to renew itself and must draw on the fats reserve. The body uses energy this way, first to go is the carbohydrates and the new sugar they get by digesting the food you eat. If you dun eat, the body will go on to use your muscles(energy from protein) so the last to go is the fats. Anyway, usually you will die before the fats are used, so when you think you slim down by not eating, it's more like you lost the muscles(they are bulky aniway) than the fats. That's so unhealthy. So just find a fun sports and try to indulge in them excessantly. I like swimming a lot cos it juz burns plenty of energy, gives you a chance to ogle around, and then also a chance for u to go near naked. Hahahaha. Never tot I so 'se qing kuang' rite. Welll not la. I just like the feeling cos you sweat but dun feel the sweat. Then after you swim finish you can just go bathe and you are still clean. Then after you swim alot rite, your abs muscles are well trained and you find that you can sing really better (yes that's my purpose u c) cos your abs muscles are well warmed up. Running to me not fun wan la. I prefer playing soccer . However in camp running is more recognised as a official sport cos you need to run to keep fit. Yeah I know. So soccer you run more mah. The problem is that there are idiots who think by standing in front I am obliged to long pass the ball to him for him to score without him moving around without the ball (lousy off-the-ball stats kind of people) Man, you gotta run into spaces before I send the ball to u.
Ok, so you got the rough idea on how to eat, have fun, and slim down? Dun worry, if you continuously do this for years, you find that you still can enjoy the buffet and fast food once in a while and still remain the slim figure you get. Of course you can go vegetarian too, I mean I would like to do that too you know. But of course staying with my family means I will never be able to achieve that so I have to move out. Anyway I think eating vegetarian entirely also not fun, so it's better you eat vegeterian for breakfast , dinner and snacks and leave the meat for lunch. So go for lunch buffet lor. Cheaper. Then the wedding dinner how....haha. I dunno. Swap la. That day you eat vegetarian lunch and breakfast. And I dun mean you eat vegetarian bee hoon everyday when you eat vegetarian stuff. It could be bread and cheese. It could be sushi (yes, with cucumber that is) or it could be you know, apple pie? Hahaha. Vegetarian food also got lotsa variety so it's up to you to decide how you want to eat and stay healthy.
A toast to your good health! Do remember to drink plenty of plain water everyday, around 1.5 l of plain water a day is good enough liao. Believe me, I haven't got an MC for years you know!

Woah, I wanted to write the blog on Sunday but wasn't allowed to as I keep losing control of the computer to my brother. The guy in the Starhub Maxonline commercial is just a ripoff of my life man!! Hahaha. However even with this Maxonline I still cannot access the net as and when I like because we only got 1 com. Well too bad.
Ok, so the first question people ask on Mon was that 'how did you spend your Valentine's Day' question. Kewl. This was how I spent 14 Feb 2004:
Firstly went to Jinki's home after work to take my bike back. I got to see my beloved big brother (yes, but only for 6 secs, haha). Phew, my bike has spent nearly 2 whole mths at his home and not put to any use... Anyway was very happy that my bro was wearing the singlet I bought for him..hahaha. Wonder if he kept the card I wrote for him? And of course I wonder if he is wearing the thing I gave him. Oh so you want to know what I gave him. That's a secret between him and me. Hahaha. After that I cycled back home from his home. This is the route I took. Jln Chermat --> Serangoon Garden Way --> Berk**** Way (some long road inside the private housing estate of Serangoon Garden) --->Across the CTE via overhead bridge --> AMK Ave 10 --> NYP ---> Lentor Ave ---> Home! It was quite a short ride. Next time anyone want to go on cycling trips muz jio me! Nite or day, so be it.
Then I wanted to go swimming but Yishun Swimming Complex was too crowded (so many kids) so I went SAFRA. Wahlao, SAFRA's pool is bloody small and crowded. So i went home instead. After resting for a while I went down to play street soccer. However because I didn't have a team and they were all one big group (15+ ppl) I could only play the first match and nothing more. Sigh. I hope next time I can get at least 3-4 people to go there and play. Charles! I know you read my blog so you got e pt? Then, as time was running out (1845), I chionged to the betting outlet at NTUC.. I shouldn't had rushed to put my bets cos all 3 bets lost and I lost $40. Later Jiaxing and Guiqiang all came to my home to watch football. Woah the match was veri exciting. Man City nearly came back sia. Haha. The great thing is got more people to watch together the more fun. So the Sat the guys in my unit are coming. Wonder if I should get the 7seas bros to come and join us. Haha. Wat a mess.
Sunday had nothing much to offer. Talked online but without much participation. At nite Guiqiang came again around 9 to watch the soccer match. This time it was Arsenal Chelsea. The match also veri exciting! Reyes the new Arsenal yandao scored a great beautiful goal, a screamer that no keeper would have been able to save. Shud be goal of the tournament! Anyway the match ended 1030 and Guiqiang went home. Hey, thanks for coming to accompany me to watch. Then I went to sleep cos got work on Monday.
Monday nothing much....just surprisingly the whole day only talked to Valliy twice...haha. Without Francis around I cleared alot of the old work but still couldn't do the plaque redesign project boss gave. AIz. Why he muz gimme so much work...
Today finally submitted the project with Kenny's help. He design I write. Woah...thanks to him. I managed to submit it in 1.5 hrs time of work. Morning went for the trial run for the 100km relay (50x 2 km) and my timing for 2km was 08.58. Not bad la...maybe possible I can run faster than this. If I am not wrong last year I did 08.4X. Faster by 10secs like that.
Ok. I continue the blog later. Need to clear brain for use later...haha

Let's just forget about Wed and Thu. Been kinda busy.
Today we were at the Lion's Home for the Elderly. I have only visited an old folks' home once, so wasn't of much of help to the old people. Frankly, I would prefer visiting a kids' home more than an old folk's home. I have a problem communicating to old people because I dun like to talk to strangers, and the bigger problem is, I also have hearing problems. Haha. So when you got the problems all snowballed together, it's simply near to disaster. I am so ashamed of myself. Anyway the highlight of the day was the guys' exaggerated reaction to GJ's magic show. We all know we CANNOT see his magic, yet we all cheered for him so fakingly. I think he realised the gravity of the situation but still had to put up a show for the old people. I also seriously doubt if the old people could understand what he was doing, and maybe most of them couldn't see what he was doing at all. Well, to make it up to him, his playing of the keyboard was very professional.....how am I to compare to him? So in the end the whole went well, I helped to carried the gift box around for distribution, and also act as the lift operator to get the old people back to their resting areas as soon as possible.
The experience leaves us to ponder, would we want to grow old and weak, and become a burden to others, or would we just want to live life as long as we want. I seriously think that most old people when sick, choose to die off by succumbing (pardon the spelling error, if there is) to the illness. They do not want to become a burden to society. This sentiment has also surfaced itself with the increasing no of elderly suicides, especially among the lonely and poor folk. Are we to blame society for leaving them alone when they have outlived their use to society, or are we to blame ourselves, for planning for them to live alone in those old estates, for not pursuing those who abandon their parents, for not volunteering more to take care of such people? I am not so sure who should take the responsiblity but for me, I would not want to live that long if I should become frail and weak, making myself a burden to others and my children. Does my effort and contribution to the bringing up of my children warrants me the right that they should in turn take care of me? I am not sure of that. I have always been very independent. I want to make my own decisions. But if I am old, weak, poor sighted, will I make the correct decisions? I am not sure. I am also not sure how long would I live to, how long I want to live I also not sure. Of course when people are young they think the day is still far away. I mean for me I have always fantasied I lived for another few hundred years but I doubt I would actually do that. How scary it is for us to face death. I am not sure if I am afraid of dying. I am sure I do not want to die now, haha. That's because I still have unfulfilled dreams and demands. What if I die with all these unfulfilled dreams? Will I die with regrets, or will I die saying life is so unfair etc... How can it be unfair? I lived at least 2 decades in comfort, without any handicaps. For the unfortunate, they had suffered for years....life is never unfair.
I will talk about fear later. I have a whole lot of things to talk on the word 'fear' For the time being, let us ponder about life and death, what's the point of living if the end is dying? What is actually death? And all sorts of things about life and death...
Man, this is so saddening. I guess I will write it next time..
Tomorrow is Valentine's Day! Hahaha. 20 yrs without any valentine so it's pretty fine. What's so important about this day anyway? I have yet to comprehend the significance of the day. hahaha. Another topic to talk on another day..

Yesterday was on duty so nothing much to talk about. I did write some lyrics for a song but with my brother at home I will wait till he gets out then I try to put some melody to it. Also wrote down many topics that I may want to write here, so for all discussions or questions, feel free to ask on my icq, 26163762.
Today had to rehearse for the show we gonna put up at the Lion's Home (old folks home) which we gonna visit this Fri. Wasnt veri fruitful, though we did laugh a lot. With the office carpet being shampooed. Today was such a slacking day! After work I went to buy some bets with Jiaxing, then chatted with him on my way to the pool. He had many problems lately with his boss....hope things get better for him. As for me, I went to swim at the Yishun Swimming Complex. It's the start of my training campaign and hope by the time I ROD I ought to be below 60kg. I suppose that will make me look a lot better. So for a start I swam 25 laps...wasn't at all tired. Finished it in 35 mins though...kinda slow.haha. The pool was real cramped...so many people.
Ok. Today's topic is "My Favourite Magic Spells".
The concept of magic spells to me has nothing to do with Harry Potter, to me it's more like those spells you find in games, some common ones being Fire, Water etc. Ok. There are a few spells I really find it cool which I have come across in the comics I read and the games I play.
1. Raijin - The Hero's Lightning.
Raijin is a spell you find in DragonQuest's comics (Dai's Adventure and Emblem of Roto series). It is basically a lightning spell. The only big hooha about it is that the spell is only usable by the Heroes. (Dai's Adventure has 1 hero only, while Emblem of Roto has 3) The real cool thing about it is that I have always like things associated with lightning. Pikachu is another example...haha. Anyway Raijin is the first form, then Gigajin is the 2nd and Megajin is the 3rd. In Dai's Adventure, Dai (the hero) has pretty lousy magic stats so he can only use Raijin. However his scabbard has the ability of 'charging' magic to its max form, so his most powerful move is Megajin Avan Slash. In Emblem of Roto, the 3 heroes are able to summon Gigajin in the last few books. However Megajin is only seen twice, firstly at the battle of Aliahan against Beast King Gnom and at the final showdown with Imajin. Megajin is only summonable with the Emblem of Roto and the mana of many people gathered.
2. Fire Tornado
I first saw this magic in Phatasy Star IV. To summon this you had to have 2 persons use Fire and Tornado together and they will comine their magic to give you a powerful flare tornado. After that in Emblem of Roto, you can see that Porom the Sage with his powerful combination magic he used it once at the battle at Solar Mirror Lake to fight the snow monsters.
3. Bahamut
This is very obvious. In FF4,6,7,8,9,10 we can always see Bahamut....a powerful dragon with a powerful fire breath. In FF4, you had to fight against it. Unfortunately, when it counts to zero from five, it unleashes it's Megaflare which deals 9999 damage and decimate your party. To counter it, I tried the magic Reflect and it worked! Hahaha. From there onwards, defeating Bahamut in any of the games was simple.
4. Behoma
A healing magic in Dai's Adventure and Emblem of Roto. I like it because in Dai's Adventure the princess used it to heal the face of her protector and I do hope i have such a magic too. If I had I would be the best doctor around! Instant healing to the max HP you know.
5. Blizzard
First came across this magic in FF4. Nothing nice to see in FF4. However in Shining Force it was a great magic to use. The sound of it was very nice.... in Shining Force it's a tornardo of ice and the 'kin kin kin' sound was real cool.
6. Rula
This magic is a transportation magic. It's like Egress in Shining Force, except you can go to anywhere you have been before with this magic. As long as your mind can recall how the place looked like. Yep. I mean if I had this, I would have saved alot on transport isn't it? There are many forms of Rula, in Dai's Adventure there is this LiliRula which lets you catch up to your partners if you got lost. Then in Emblem of Roto, there is this OmegaRula where you can seal the body of some enemy up (in the story case, it was Imajin the final boss) and send his soul into some far dimension...I would have done this for those who deserve to die horribly.
7. "Babalaba!"
In DragonBall this magic was used by the evil wizard Babbiti to change the environment to whichever he liked. Wow. If I could use this I would bought a home and put it on a island like Kame House. Sounds fun you know!
8. Piggy
In FF4 there is this magic where you can change any of your party (or all) or some enemies to pigs. They will still use their weapons but they will have pretty lousy defence and look damn cute....imagine if I could change people I dun like into pigs!
9. Ioragon
Ioragon is actually a combined magic of Iorazu and Begiragon. It's the ultimate explosion spell plus the ultimate flash heat spell in Emblem of Roto. Of course the damage is 2x ultimate...haha.
10. Meteo / Comet
FF4 most powerful spell. Emblem of Roto most powerful spell. What to say. If scientist were right to say that a meteorite brought about the downfall of the dinosaurs I guess you know the power of the spell.... It's just so damn cool cos everything just get destroyed into dust.
A elderly man on the surface. a child at heart. I, for one, still harbour fantasies of the young and innocent. I feel that if magic (not those performing type) really exist! It's a matter of trying to gather the correct energy for the magic. If Einstein was right about everything composed of energy, and if we could alter energy at will, I suppose magic is not a fantasy anymore. How are we gonna do that. I think it's tremendous mind power....perhaps if you could exert all 100% potential of the brain (hey scientists say that we only use less than 1% of our brain at any time) i think magic, psychic power are all possible.

Had a great day today till I returned home.
So I was sayin I had to go to the carnival. We watched some soccer, and some kids trying to throw and hit a target so that the girl on the platform gets thrown into the water... dumb. Anyway it was a great opportunity for Soo KS to start snapping off and I guess it was a great day for him. For us, it wasn't. We all tot it was an absolute waste of time. SK and Wenhui left early. The rest, after some discussion, also went off. I went off with the main group, leaving behind JZ, Winston and Alvin, aka the Docu 3 Musketeers...haha. I not sure if they stayed till the whole event ended. I am not sure whether if we are going to get reprimanded, sign some extras or wat. Anyway I am mentally prepared for the punishment, if there is.
We left the stadium around 5pm. GQ and Louis needed to get Emily's farewell gift so we went to CWP and spent 1/2 hr at Metro trying to buy, you know what? An electric kettle! Haha. It's such a funny idea for a gift, but certainly, it was very well thought. I am sure Emily will like it. Anyway, in the end they settled for a $20 kettle which I hope can work till next yr...haha.
Had dinner with Louis, JX and JX's friend. To be very frank, Louis and I tot that JX's friend, let's codename him T, was very talkative. I felt that he was talking too much about our army life and my mind was screaming ' give me a break!' Aniway in the end during the conversation I realised he was the only child at home. And he said he knew how to use the phone since 4 yrs old! Well, it muz have been this background that made him like that. I dun mind a talkative person. In fact I like people who like to talk. Hahaha. Anyway it was a good day until I reached home.
Had a quarrel with my brother. He demanded that I should have bought him the sweets he wanted. I was very unhappy of course. Why should I walk extra the distance to buy something he wants, and why can't he go down himself to buy. I dun understand why he always have to think that it's on the way when obviously i have to walk another extra 100m to get there and bring it back home. And he is so damn rude and so damn demanding. Everytime he calls me it's either he wants me to buy food, or to buy something. He is so lazy. In the end i was so fed up with his endless battering of insults that i screamed at him and went downstairs to buy. I also took the chance to do deposit some cash. I am not sure if I should have given in to him. Can somebody tell me? I have been always giving in to him all the time. I am sick of it. That is why I wanted to stay in and dun go home. I prefer not to see him at home at all. But he is still my brother. I cannot chase him out, nor can't I not go home. Of course the best solution would be to have our own rooms but that would be 2 yrs later. Hence the best solution now is to let him go NS, which i successfully psychoed him to go. Hahahaha.
Ok, i guess it's enough for today. Really got alot of complains today cos there was an article on New Paper regarding complains. Hahaha.

Jeff

2 days has passed with nothing much happening.
Saturday morning went to CGH for a routine checkup. Only managed to see the doctor for 10min, (and it's more due to the fact that he was searching for my ultrasound scan record) but ended up spending 5 hrs outside. 2 hrs inside the hospital 2 hrs travelling and another 1 hr wasted having breakfast and lunch at Eastpoint (brunch cos I had a blood test and couldn't eat anything 6 hrs before the test) and queueing up at its betting outlet. The doctor's comment was 'same as the report in dec', wonder if it's good or bad. anyway i have stopped taking the medicine so as to see what effects it will have due to the absence of it since 2 mths ago (so that means my condition with or w/o the medicine has stabilised) and so the doctor said 'let's wait for another 2 mths and see'. Next month I will go for another ultrasound scan and then in Apr I will see him again.
In the afternoon I was online and JQ (muz use codename so as not to reveal her identily lest she pelts me with her avalanches of words, haha :p) gave me plenty of her comments on my last blog entry...hmm. she told me that something was missing from my 'sowin seeds of love' theory. initially i was like, oh dear, is she gonna reprimand me cos this theory, maybe to some people, may contain some sort of playboy element. but in the end she was telling me about 'water' and 'nutrients'.... as to what this means, i guess it's very much obvious (although I neva caught the idea until she explained to me, hahaha, guess i'm kinda dimwitted). Well, not sure what i ought to do, but i am not really into lookin for any female companionship at this moment...
Junhao's bro, Junren suddenly called me out of the blue. Nothing big, juz asking me to go play football. In the end we (Junhao, Junren, me and my bro) were just pracitising shooting and the sort of that. How I wish I could play in a match rather than practising...very long neva played any sort of competitive football....nevertheless it was quite a good workout. On the way home on bus 811, was sorta making a fools of ourselves (me and my bro) as we were scrambling to find coins for my bro to buy a ticket. In the end, managed to scrape 70cents from my pocket but the bus captain juz drove on and neva accepted the coins. I digged my bag again, to my relief, to find another 30cents so my bro took 10cents to throw in and finally the captain gave us the ticket. I still rem the bus no TIB 1221. and the captain's name was Goh S B. Man, he's sure stingy. Anyway this shows that my bro is an absolute good-for-nothing, can't even bother to bring his own Ez-Link card, and his excuse is he never topped it up. WELL, he went to Toa Payoh for a soccer trial on the MRT and he should had topped his card out. So he got another excuse saying he ain't got any money. I was very disappointed. He just made a cool $800 profit (in actual fact he had $1100 in his hands) on betting but he had to spend it on something he neva needed : a camera phone. Firstly, he doesn't have that many friends to call and his friends do not know he has a hp now. 2ndly he uses the phone to make a nuisance of himself trying to take stupid photos of me and my parents. Dumb rite.... got money just throw into the drain like that. Now I do hope CMPB sends him into NS rite away after his checkup/aptitude test next week. Hope it's somewhere far like in Tekong, hahahaha. He ought to, since he's been of no use at home except to waste electricity and money for his endless calls for food.
Saturday nite was very boring. Was actually waiting for Soo to come as discussed but he took the option of not coming. So sian that my bro challenged me on WE again and this time he didn't get the victories he so wanted. Unfortunately I kept my guard down and lost 2 matches with him scoring an injury time winner in one and was trashed in my last game as i lost interest and was tired. Anyway it was time to watch our weekly feed of EPL action. I was feeling great cos my Yahoo Fantasy League team was scoring pretty well hehz. I am pretty sure I will pass the 60pts mark this week. My bro lost his last $50, (see, 1 week he can spend $1100 away) and with Chris' tips i managed to win $70. It was so heartpounding. I bought 5 tickets, and slowly it seemed 3 of them were going to the drain so left Chris' tipped champion bet (plus my own punt of a goalless draw - oh so u know which match we won). Luckily the match hung on to its goalless result, phew, cos the other matches were all goal fest! 7 goals for Man U - Everton, Spurs - Portsmouth, 4 goals for Newcastle - Leicester, Wolves - Arsenal and Bolton - Liverpool. So heng ah...haha. So now i earned enough for my speakers. And my grubber bro wants me to treat him to Hotcakes (cos now on promotion $1.80) so I was fine with it...but he wanted me to go and buy! Man, I am more of a maid / a bank / a deliveryman / a secretary (he always force me to do all his admin stuff, and all those applications for NS, for soccer trials) so I do hope he goes to Tekong real soon and get to know what the real world is like!
I am going to the SAFRA carnival soon...forced by my unit to do so. Gonna treat it as an unit outing though.....haha
Ok, i post some other theories next time soon.

Hmm....wonder if i should tok abt life for the past 2 days, or should i tok about some of my silly tots since how many donkey years ago....
okie. i got it. since the past 2 days wasn't really any great, i guess i would tell u something abt myself...
to me, the greatest fear in life is not death. i fear being alone more than death. really. i guess that's the reason why i prefer a staying in unit more than a stay out unit. that's also why when i got nothing to do i rather come online and switch on my icq then to go play games. i have no qualms about being onz for outings as long as they are of good nature and the people going are of good nature as well, no problem with strangers. i like being with a group of people with common interest. be it soccer, betting, singing or even cooking.
yet i hate going out. the sole reason i think it's perhaps due to jealousy? haha. i am jealous of those good looking people. i dun mean the usual tall, hunky men, or those metrosexual type... i mean those with a clear looking face, with fine features, and perhaps not plagued with having to carry a spare tyre ard their stomachs....that's y to me most people nowadays are good looking. the guys nowadays make more effort to make themselves look good. i am not the type to keep combing my hair once in a few min ( i dun own a comb either, i use my hands to push my hair ard) nor do i like spendin money to buy those nice nice clothes....(but CNY still have to spend some money to buy clothes to stave off my mother's constant nagging on why we all dun like to go shopping for clothes). to me, maybe becos i am jealous, that's y i do the opposite. i dun make an effort to look good. or rather i feel no matter what i do i will neva look good. so i put my focus on other things. yet people judge others alot on impressions. i guess that's society. mabbe it's all those idols, all those stars....most of them look great... but i still muz say to me 80% of the ppl outside look good....
if impressions form so much of one's opinion towards others, then i guess i am one exception from the norm. i usually go for the voice rather than the looks. haha. really. that means for all those who sound funny, mabbe i do not really appreciate ur presence..haha. but of cos, these are only superficial impressions and i do feel personality, character are the traits that make or break one's impression onto others.
Someone with great personality, but not good looks will still be that someone that i would look out for. there are plenty ard in the arena i roam in. well, again, i ought to say that 80% of the ppl look good to me. so it mostly boils down to ur personality and ur habits. yes. ur habits. habits are unique to each person and so thus form part of the impression one projects to others. some habits are hilarious, but some are just destestable. to me i dun like smoking, spitting, and biting nails cos these are not really great for one's health or for others' health. i am veri health conscious...haha.
so the last thing i haven talked abt is what kind of personalities would interest me. i am quite a weird, or so described by my friends, eccentric, and thus my interests in personalities may be somehow perverse to u, or maybe u r just in the same boat as me? haha. ok. my top priority to look out for in one's personality is the ability to smile. hey, someone who is always cheerful usually brings a bright day to many others. so u noe. i still can rem that girl's smile....haha. which girl...er, mabbe u can ask me on my icq. the next type of personality i look out for is those with great aspirations. i enjoy bein ard ambitious people. or more so, i enjoy learnin abt wat sorts of ambitions do they want to achieve, so that perhaps i could either learn from them, or beat them to the target. i am a beri competitive person, but if i noe this field isnt gonna be mine, i will take my hat off to the one who is the best in the field among the people i know. haha. the chinese saying goes, 36 occupations, each has its champion. so u see.
whether it's looking for love, looking for friends, i apply the same fair principle that i always have. be open to all sorts of personalities, get to know them betta first before deciding whether to be more 'gam' with them (meaning to try to forge a closer tie to them) or to avoid them if necessary. this is just my way of surviving. it's betta to make friends than to make enemies, so u noe.
i think i said enuf today, mabbe it's confusing to u cos my english sux. haha. i will reveal more abt myself when the time comes....
regards
jeffire
PS: i do hope to get to know more more abt all of u ard me. feel free to tok to me if u got any thing u wan to get off ur chest. dun worri. if u wanna scold me, juz tell me. pending on ur rationale i would either concede and change myself, or i would retailiate and hope u can change urself. i do hope everyone can better themselves and make life easier and nicer for everyone, anyone...

Firstly must tell the readers of my blog that I dun think and write but rather whatever comes to my mind I just write, and write until I think I have reported everything up...so I usually about my life and what I think abt other ppl and not my pesonal tots theories etc. So you may find it either interesting to read abt others' life or you may find it a complete turnoff cos it's just so methodological. Moreover my English isn't anywhere near the word 'good' so you know. But I dun care. I mean this is my blog and nobody is gonna mark it anyway.
I enjoy reading others' blogs, especially my friends' blogs. They help me understand them betta. Chanced upon my colleague and bunkmate's blog today. Ok do I have to say how I chanced upon it even though he writes it in the office sometimes? Ok ok. Chris said he wanted to buy Strike so I asked him to jio me down when he is going to buy. So in the end we got the strike and had dinner together. During dinner he told me about his computer so I offered to check it out for him. Went to his friend's home and took his harddisk back home. Fixed it up and tried to see what was inside. But first, we had to scan them first because I suspected a deleted file by some virus he picked up (although my first suspicion was a hardware failure). While waitin for the scan to complete, I took the chance to open my ICQ and introduced to him some of the guys he might not have on his ICQ. So first it was Wenhui cos he finally was caught by me going online. Hahaha. Then we talked about Sirong, Rensheng, Jason Lee, etc. Then Chris mentioned this 'Dynamix' word so I opened it up and checked the users details because I had taken a look at their various birthdays (those whom I just mentioned), then I just chanced upon his blog webby. I know he visits blogs in the office. I also know he writes them but he always kinda hide it when I am around, so I try not to see. Even when I use the internet in office, I also dun open those webbies he visits. Anyway with Chris around I couldn't concentrate on reading his blogs as they were littered with too many difficult words...(hey Chris gave up reading them you know) so after I settled his problem so I took the chance to read his blogs after my bro went to sleep. Ok. Took one whole hr to read and digest everything and realise how different a person he was on the blog and off the blog....I wonder if I did offend him before, but seriously I suspect I did due to one of the lines inside talking about someone thinking he was very knowledgeable etc......haha. Anyway I am a very sensitive person, so if someone criticises me I will try my best to overturn the criticism and prove the critic wrong. Of course, some things neva change and I wouldn't bother anyway.
After reading his blogs, it inspired me to think about life more and less about all the happenings in life. I never had a love life before. I mean I did infatuate before, well, who doesn't. However I have never dated before, I never held any girl's hand like in a date (of course I have touched a female before, for god's sake) so I dunno what's love and whatever. Whenever I am sad I would like to sing my way out....that's why I really like Jeff Chang's ballads...they are so damn sad....but of course some people will think that I like to make myself sad.....haha where got? I just like to imagine myself being lost in love , or perhaps being jilted...haha. I like singing all sorts of ballads cos it's somehow like acting, you can put yourself in the shoes of the singer or the composer, that's why I like sorrowful songs with all the deep lyrics....on the other hand, i like to balance myself with all the R n B type of music and they make me want to dance and groove....haha. Never visited a R n B pub before so never see how they really dance. Anyway while walking with Soo KS today back home, he asked me whether I wanted to find a good girl, get married someday but I told him I wanted to stay single. So he retored if I wanted to stay a virgin forever. I countered hinting that singles could go flirt around and I said with money you can have all the beautiful girls around. Of course I lied. I mean gettin married with someone you like is of course the best thing that can happen to you in your life. However I have never found that 'someone'. All the girls whom I have liked before seem to be attached now. Hahaha. Maybe except one. I always liked to use the theory of 'sowing seeds of love'. I mean you can make friends with all sorts of girls and maybe hope one day you can get a flower that blooms beautifully. For me it's only one seed left (ie 1 girl left unattached, but she is definitely sought after by many guys I think) haha. Love is a very funny thing. I dunno but I would rather take my stride and hack care abt it. I dun really need love because I believe more in giving than taking. If you can make more people happy by giving, so be it. Why take and make more people sad just to make yourself happy? Haha. I dunno but that;s why i wanted to be a businessman. I see them earning so much money and giving so much money away at the same time! I mean you help to employ people, so they are living there for a purpose and with a purpose. Then if you can earn alot of money then you can do what you like. For me I dun want to live in any big house (btw, what's good about living in a big house when you find it difficult to see your mother) nor do I need any big car, power surround speakers, super computers etc. I rather be famous for things I have accomplished rather than for things I have. Anyway my ultimate aim if I managed to earn millions as a businessman is to retire and work in the farms, perhaps in Australia or Thailand (I am now considering in Europe too cos maybe I can go watch football at the stadiums but their living costs are much higher so u noe....) So what I would do with the millions? I told many people before that I wanted to reafforest the deserts. I really do. I have always thought if one day Earth became like Zion in the Matrix. No grass, no trees, no sun...wah lao, how to play football, go swimming like that? I would also like to the forests back so that they give me constant weather and not sometimes hot spells and sometimes rainy spells (our CNY week was one hell of a rain blast). Moreover I believe if I could reafforest the deserts then perhaps the sands would become soil and then the poor deprived Africans can use the soil to grow food for themselves. I believe with more trees around, the ecobalance will be restored and there will be less of pests around. Of course that will also mean less probabilities of SARS, bird flu etc.....but to me it's for the future of Earth..
So you ask me how did I get the idea of reafforesting the deserts. You ought to play this game called 'Chrono Trigger' and find out. Likewise, many of my weirdo behaviour, actions all came from the games I enjoy playing very much....u want to know? For example, I always say 'Zannen Desu Ne' when something bad happens cos this phrase came out in FF7 quite often (and I played the jap version ok!), my idea of being of 'holy' attribute (and thus not afraid of ghosts, and not being able to see them) came from FF4 when the Dark Knight converted to the Paladin....woah.
So I said I was childish. Man I am but you all dun believe me. hahahah...
And perhaps to SK and Jinqi...relax, don't really care abt what other ppl say and take it easy. Any problems do approach people to tok. Of cos I am not the best person to talk to since I have been branded ' act knowledgeable ' but do remember keeping all your tots to yourself is dangerous....
Well, if you want, you can exchange your dark tots with mine one for one. I do have my evil side you know~
Haha.

Wah, finally we reached Feb in great style. Today was a long day spent outside with my bro, shopping for stuff for our com and his handphone. He just won a lot of money by putting $300 on a Bolton win during the weekend and voila, 1k goes to his pocket. But the 1k was gone in one day! We bought some stuff for the computer and he forced me to use my ang pow money to buy new speakers for the computer. Luckily a good soundin speaker doesn't really cost a bomb, so I still owe him $65 for the Creative Inspire 2.1 2500 speakers. Then he treated me to lunch and snacks. He also bought a CD Writer and 50 pcs CD R cos I wanted him to burn the cartoons he downloaded..and stop hogging so much space of my precious harddisk. Ok, then in the evening after a short nap I struggled to fix the things into my computer, due to a stupid error. I got the cable head upside down. Sighz. Luckily I sms Kenny and he helped me solve half the problem with his golden advice. Haha. So fix fix until 10+ then fix everythin finished. Phew...now I am enjoying the great music...lurve it man...this experience has sure made my hardware knowledge betta.
Yesterday I went to ktv with my unit chaps. This time got a new guy, Weiming. He sings sometimes good sometimes not good. Anyway I am sure after a few more sessions he will definitely do betta. Was very tired in the ktv session so slept about 1 hr in both morning and afternoon sessions. More like I was damn sianz...cos they were singing songs I din really like. I guess all of us need more improvement. I was not really on form so din really feel that i sang any betta than anybody... then at nite we all went to my understudy's home.....haha. They all shared to buy the multitap and played wrestling! I only managed to watch a few matches but they were all against Charles. Anyway Charles isn;t really any good at the game. Francis, Chris and Shaokang were the betta ones. I wasn't that interested in the game and my family was in the vicinity so I got them to send me home. Since Guiqiang was like me, not very interested, so I also got him to go with me, and also because he lives near me too lor, so shun lu. Francis' home wasn't as great as I tot. But again I got the deja vu sense cos of his kitchen cabinets....i tot of seeing those blue cabinets before...haha...dunno why but sometimes places i first time visit i got a sense of familiarity of the place....anyway if Francis u saw this blog, perhaps you ought to get a bigger fan for ur living room? I think all the guys were all damn hot..i mean they were all sweating.....
On Sat I did duty...nothing much to say, except it was very boring.
Okie....i dunno what to report now....oh ya, the weekend i earned abt $29 from singapore pools.....haha. hope this goes on cos i need to pay for the speakers !!
regards :)
