Jeffire is quite a scatterbrain.
Imagine the shock on my face to find the insurance/road tax renewal notice under a stack of paper when I was looking for some documents. The dateline was TODAY 19 JUL 2008. The fine of late renewal would amount to $50++, which is quite a lot of money.
Then I swung into action, and took the NEL down to Boon Keng station, and missed 5 buses in a row (stuck at the traffic light). Then when I caught the bus, I overshot the stop by one stop which was like 20secs on wheels but 5mins to walk.
I reached Jalan Besar Plaza and then the service clerk told me that as it was the last day, the road tax had to be renewed at the nearest NTUC Income office. That meant another rush down to Rochor Centre.
Ran up 3 flights of stairs and was relieved to see that opening hours ended at 630pm. Plenty of time left. Yet, I was made to wait for ages there despite 2 counters being free. I probably waited 15mins - 20mins till my turn. The good thing was that the service was fast.
Task settled. I then decided to make my way to PS to visit Daiso to purchase my kitchenware. The easiest and fastest route would be to take a bus from nearby Sim Lim Square to Little India station, and then just take a short ride to Dhoby Gaut. When I was reaching the bus stop, the bus arrived before I reached the boarding point. I decided not to rush for it, but the bus driver stopped a while and opened the door for another 10secs because there was the same bus in front. I STARED BLANKLY AT THE BUS and let it go.
Freak.
Next I decided to walk to PS...Probably breathed in tons of dust as I passed high traffic roads and construction sites. Sigh.
I bought what I wanted except for the fetta cheese because it was too expensive. Then I went back and met a schoolmate and former CCAmate. As I was sick and tired, I didn't really want to talk, but but but, he was alone.. So I had to converse until he reached his stop. Sigh.
Then I reached Punggol station and took the bus home (lazy to walk). You know what happened? I missed my stop because I was too engrossed replying SMSes... grrr. I reached home safely and sorted my purchases. I bought a mirror to put on my door's left wall so as to see incoming people. So far so good.
My parents returned around 30mins later and I was reprimanded for leaving the metal gate's key outside! I forgot about it after installing the mirror happily. Sigh..
All my luck must had been used up in that bout to renew the insurance and road tax.
Before ending off, let me show you Cookie Dou's new cap! So cuteee~
