Before I explain the title, here's something I copied from IceQueen's entry about a Japanese drama:
"Haha another thing they mentioned inside is.. Why do guys always keep silent or become silent when bad things happen? As in when they are troubled or sth they tend to keep quiet abt it and solve it themselves, they tend not to say it out.. E only ans i can think abt is pride n ego.. =P"
I agree with the 1st part in which guys tend to keep silent when bad things happen. However I disagree with IceQueen because guys who love their partner too much would not want their partners to go through the ordeal. It is love, and not pride or ego. It could be also fear, in the sense, that the guy may fear losing the girl's trust or confidence because the guy is supposed to be there to protect the girl. Some girls are all the more very fickle-minded, and guys would fear losing their girl just because they showed a little tinge of "weakness" for being unable to solve problems or prevent bad things from happening.
I, for one, would want to keep my someone from knowing my troubles as long as possible, though I guess I would like to have that someone able to understand that it is love and not pride.
Anyway, the past few days were spent shuttling around Singapore. I visited Clementi again and found that Clementi Book Shop prices had gone up due to the higher GST. SIGH. So the cost of studying has risen again. Other than that, the $2 for 3 pies pastry shop is still around, baking very fragant pies. And indeed, the coffeeshops there have no good food to offer.
Tuesday evening I was at SAFRA Yishun's swimming pool with my schoolmate Dom. The pool's pretty cool at night in the sense the lightings and the music. And there's a hydropool which you can enjoy a powerful jet of water massaging you. I wonder if it can help to shake the fats away? Haha. We had a good swim but I discovered I really cannot swim freestyle as I tend to swim off course, so much that Dom said I swam diagonally across 1/3 of the pool! Pengz.
Yesterday I visited Botak Jones in Ang Mo Kio with my 7Seas brother, Jinki, JK and Kev.. It is very near to where Princess Cow lives. The offering was varied and not really very expensive. However I heard the queue could be long as night, though there wasn't any in the afternoon. The fries are coated with some chilli powder, and tastes pretty good. The hotdogs, burgers, salads and meals are quite hearty-sized and therefore if you don't want to eat too much, you should share around the food. Heh. Overall I find it quite good, so feel free to try them out if you like.
We then walked to AMK central and they had a hard time deciding to play LAN games or KTV. As I felt that KTV was expensive, we played LAN games instead for it was cheaper. I seriously suck at those first person shooters so I was pretty siansified. The LAN game center is a former cinema theater converted so there were rows and rows of computers in the dark theater. I think the boss is indeed very clever to keep the architecture that way as it really makes the place look like a huge computer lab. Heh. $1.50 per hour of gaming. Cheap right? Too bad I'm not really a gamer, though I would not mind trying out playing the old old Starcraft. Haha.
Well, I guess I would stop here and maybe just say that I have 30 days left to do whatever I can to finish achieving what I had set out last birthday! Sigh.
Time flies.
