Recently I watched Superman's trailer and yes, the famous line he said
'It's not easy being me...' (i cannot remember the rest of it, too lazy to go find the song lyrics either =p)
Following Pika's comments, I guess it is difficult to be the real you because expectations and impressions may not fit the world that we are now operating in. (note the word 'operating')
Everyone has told me at some point, 'Just be yourself, you will find someone that will appreciate you'. Indeed, I do agree so, yet it is so exasperating at times to find that most people do not appreciate so. Eventually, how do we really know which side of us is the true side?
There is a chinese saying which translates to 'crises reveal the true face of a person'. Certainly I do not fancy facing any crisis at any time of my life, but if it does bring out the true me, it may be worth a try!
Yet I will like to emphasise that I have always been myself though to some extent, you not believe so because your impression of me was formed during the earlier times we got to know each other. And my dearest friends will know that my voracious appetitie of seeking improvement has always put me on the wheel of evolution.
Yes, I shall again embark on the evolution cycle to become one again better. That is what I intend to be. Here I have the targets for the evolution cycle:
a. To talk less and listen more
b. To read slowly and understand faster
c. To be more clear headed and organised
d. To be more analytical, much more than now. I shall not stop at the cost/benefit level.
e. To be COURAGEOUS
Finally, to clear up the previous mess I have caused. Please allow me to apologise to Ms E and all parties involved. Being nice is not a problem to me, because I have learnt not to expect anything in return for being nice. It is time to discard my Mirror Attitude and to go on to become what you may call 'Saint Jeffire'! (lol)
Please provide me with all the support you guys can muster for me. Appreciate every drop of it. Thank you very much...
Becoming Better

Yoyoyoyoyoyoyoyo,
WORLD CUP
---------
The World Cup Finals has been described as a war between nations. How easy if it would be football could settle everything. Imagine Team USA vs Team Osama, maybe it would have been cheaper for the world that way. Nonetheless, everywhere I go, there are herds of people watching world cup matches during the match times. Even places like McDonalds, cinemas, shopping malls have joined in the fray, showcasing matches in order to attract new cliente. (Uncle Ronald is a sponsor anyway). Based on the few peeks I have managed to get, the few teams I would recommend for glory this year are:
a. Spain (probably finalists)
b. Argentina (this could be their year)
c. Australia (a surprise package, could be in the semis)
d. Germany (have been playing consistent football, could be in the semis)
Oh well, surprisingly I have yet to put any cent on any of the matches. I wonder where should I start from. Haha. Any tips?
SERENEZ

Hihi!
I had been wanting to blog actually, but couldn't find a good time to sit down, or rather, when I had the time, blogger wasn't working as well as it ought, and hence somehow delayed this post... In summary, here are some stuff I'm gonna update
a. Bangkok Trip
b. PC Show 2006
c. Yoga class(hence the title)
d. Ramble of the Day
So it's probably another long post.
Bangkok Trip (27 May - 30 May)
------------------------------
Ahahahha, when are we going Bangkok again!? Firstly will like to report that I passed Shopping 101 with merit, I guess. My bargaining skills are not quite there yet. Think the worst bargainers are the Indian males, they really drive hard for one and will not hesistate to walk away (think the shopowners won't really bother either). I have bought stuff like essential oil burner, plenty of Billabong stuff, tee-shirts, some food (only find the pork floss tasty) and others. The stuff are really cheap there! For example, when you bulk buy 5-6 tees, it cost you only $4.20 for each! Some others worth buying are: toiletries (mostly are 40-70% cheaper), bedroom stuff, lamps/furnishing (if you have the means to carry back) and well, as usual, clothes! Again like the HK trip, Pika and I concluded it was too short for us.
The first night after we arrived, the cab flew us straight to the hotel, and we checked into a 42 storey room. Our hotel was the highest in Bangkok! (Yingzie and Pea were luckier, they got an even higher room at 44th storey). By a stroke of luck they were at the counter waiting for us, and hence saved plenty of worrying and trouble. Taking a taxi in Bangkok requires some skill and selection. Firstly you need to check if they run on meter (taxis are actually super cheap there and fast if there is no traffic jam), then you have to check if they want to go to your destination. Haha, but we were lucky (or unlucky?) to have met a friendly taxi uncle who said he practised Thai Boxing (and let Pika touched his arm muscles)! Lol~ Our first trip out was to Khao San Road to visit the night market and also to have dinner! Photos again will be delayed =p but the place we had dinner was fantastic. The term to use is 'Al fresco dining in a romantic setting', and the price of the food was affordable. Their smoothies were fantastic, comes in a tall tall glass! Haha, after dinner, a short introductory to the art of bargaining by Yingzie and Pea ended up in nothing bought as mostly our interest were in clothes and accessories, which were in fact much cheaper in our hotel area (Pratunam). After circling the night market once without much enthusiasm, we proceeded back to our hotel area and hahaha, the night market was indeed alluring (the prices I mean) and soon we were busy picking sunglasses, clothes, and etc. Pika bought a Addadda (it's Adidas but we nickname it Addadda) sunglass while I got my ma a Dior one. We enjoyed plenty of laughter trying on the specs, sometimes looking plain silly, sometimes looking retro chic. Soon after we returned to the hotel around 12am for a well deserved rest.
The next morning, we enjoyed some more photo taking at the 77th and 76th storey where they had a gallery on the skyline as well as some Thai stuff. Haha. That was after breakfast. Breakfast was great as they offered different cuisines but eventually we found out that the selections were unchanged for the next 3 breakfast sessions.. haha. Then we set out to Chatuchak Weekend Market. It's like a super huge dry market where probably a few hundred shops/stalls congrugate together. Items on sales in sequence of discovery, pets(super cute rabbits and hamsters in a bundle for you?), cooked food (no, i dun mean the pets were cooked), furniture/decor (can't imagine how people ship those back), clothes, toys, accessories, shoes, etc etc etc. We probably spent the whole morning till around 2pm, trying to visit all the stores, and sometimes getting separated in the process due to different interests. I tend to get stuck at jersey shops hahaha. Bought a Argentina jersey with the words Maradona, no10 for my brother. Was very worried when I got separated with them, luckily Pika always managed to track back and find me. After having enough of the trying out of clothes, squeezing, and the super hot sun, we proceeded to the food market called Ortokhor (dunno how to spell but pronouncing it sounds liddat) and what greeted us was durians! Thai durians are indeed King worthy. Didn't buy any durian or durian cake though.. as I don't really fancy durian stuff. Din buy anything eventually as we felt it was too much a hassle to carry them around. After that we proceeded for lunch and a drink. Had salad, dessert and a cold drink.. satisfied. Following that, we were contemplating whether to take the train to Time Square or not, but eventually we took the cab instead. Time Square was a total disappointment, nothing the sort like Hong Kong's. We found Robinson's at Grande Sheraton and had a short walk inside. I bought Garfield bedsheets there as they no longer had Queen size for Pokemon nor Pooh. Pika finally found the shoes he wanted for his sister. We proceeded to Siam Paragon and Siam Square. WoW. Probably you can call it Bangkok's Takashimaya and Bugis Village (ya Siam Paragon is upmarket while Siam Square is street stuff). Had Dunkin Donuts first as they were irresistible before we plough Siam Square for more buys. Eventually we got separated again as the street shops while the girls shopped. Zipping in and out so fast that I couldn't see their movements. Pika said eventually we will find one another again so we went Bootes (their equivalent of Guardian) and checked out their skincare, haircare stuff. Bought ZA whitening masks at 3 for 240baht (ie each at around $3+). After scouring the area again, we found each other and then subsequently went on to MBK. It was a mad rush there as the girls decided eventually to take a break but we guys were on a mission for Ms E (and personally I was trying to find Pika's sis' shoes, okie let codename her HK Superstar =p). Found a nice one for Ms E but ended up with another 30baht voucher so Pika bought another nice bronze bag again for her to pick. I didn't manage to find the style I liked for HK Superstar so we left MBK reluctantly to go back to our area, by TRAIN. I tell you, on hindsight, it was a bad choice as we left MBK with bags of foodstuff and walked probably 1mile carrying those stuff. I offered to carry the girls' stuff and eventually it turned out to be a fantastic decision. They were able to shop along the street market while we guys slithered back to the hotel with those stuff, got our room changed to a non-smoking room and finally had our Japanese dinner in the hotel.. haha. I thought it was quite expensive, $66.61 for 4 sets of bento and green tea (no refill) after looking at the bill so guys, please be warned. We went off to the night market again, this time looking for our own Billabong stuff while the girls decided to call it a day. But it was futile as the stalls were closing.. T_T
The next morning was quite a challenge as we couldn't wake up until it took some rousing from the girls. We were set for the Royal Palace! Back to the touristy mood, we had the whole morning there visiting temples, murals, taking photos, praying, looking at historical exhibits (mostly you can't take photos) and the beautiful garden.. we ended up at the cafe but only Yingzie managed to grab hold of the ever popular coconut for a cool-off, SOLD OUT. SOBz.. Had ice lemon tea instead.. felt it was super sweet.. yeeks. After the long visit, we flew a cab to Chinatown. WOW, you don't call Chinatown a wholesale centre for nothing. Every shop was like a specialist shop and mostly was huge.. Found a gift shop selling plenty of Pooh stuff and bought hp pouches. Again Pika was commented to be Thai looking (yes, indeed, he looks Thai, and our general observation was that Thai females had prominent male features while Thai males were somehow femininie (not all la)..) and so he got some local discounts.. haha. Anyway we went estatic at the jewellery accessory shop, trying out all sorts of earings, necklaces, blah blah. I told Yingzie that she probably bought a year's worth of earrings to wear.. lol. The whole air-con (that was the reason we went in, i suppose) building sold the same handmade jewellery stuff... so prob a girls' heaven. Found a soft toy wholesaler soonafter, they were flooding Doraemons! Too bad I wasn't going to give in to my childishness while that Pika was contemplating whether to carry a Thai pooh back, ahhh.. eventually he didn't as he felt they had some imperfections (and again he returned complaining he should had carried one back, at least to sleep with on the plane =p =p =p, too bad uh). After the last shop we entered, a belt wholesaler, we took the cab back to Big C, a giant hypermart (something like Giant or Carrefour) where it was fun shopping in the cool aircon again. But we lost the girls again so we went to the supermart to look for them but to no avail. We probably spent around an hr looking at toiletries there as Pika was thinking whether to buy some Nivea whitening stuff. Not sure of the SG prices so he didn't take the tisk and buy (it turned to be 50% cheaper in Thai) but I managed to steal a great buy, Garnier mask~~~ Bought all 3 different kind (you only get whitening series in SG but they had self-heating as well as skin firming as well). I got lost with Pika again at the underwear section, but I managed to find the girls again. Using my Pika radar I sensed his movements (was not calm when alone, luckily the girls were around) and eventually found him. =p We hung around the toiletries section again and then proceeded to pay for the purchases. After that we picked a Thai fast food restaurant for dinner. It was absolutely fantastic! The fried glass noodles, the scallop fried rice~ nice nice~ the drinks were fruities, and i think the lemon flavour ice is e best to round up the meal.. haha.
I think got some memory block here, cos I remember we went to the bird nest shop at Pratunam Mall to have bird nest, roamed around, and then went to the street market along the mall to buy clothes and stuff.. ya.. can't rem the exact sequence.. mm den we walked somemore along the Pratunam market where I began buying guy clothes and then finally to the night market nearer to the hotel for more guy clothes (as we have been buying female stuff for the past few days).. haha. The bird nest was not bad la, though I dunno if we had gotten value for our money.. 200baht per bowl of red bird nest..
The last day was more of a packing challenge day. We went to the nearby Indra Square for our last shopping onslaught. Pika had too much to stuff into his luggage so he had to get another bag, so we were searching for it till the very last min. There are so many shops there that I wonder if we were able to see all, but we got lost eventually trying to find that nice bag he had eyed. Luckily we managed to find it and then we walked back to our hotel, checked out, and went to the airport for the return flight~
A few things regrettable were:
a. Not enough time to relaxingly shop around, esp MBK!!
b. Not enough time to go spa and massage
c. Didn't buy soft toys
d. Didn't try out street fare and Thai desserts (like coconut kueh, etc)
e. Didn't go Patpong to check out the night market there as well as the infamous lesbian/gay street (heard they are separated on 2sides of the street and the night market is just in the middle)
Oh well, hopefully we can save enough money again and find the right group to go together again! Hahaha. The next trip is somehow slated at the year end where it's much cooler... yep.
PC Show 2006 (1 Jun - 4 Jun)
-----------------------------
Shall cut short and tell you how issit in point form:
a. Flooded with people, probably 4 in 10 bought something?
b. Nothing much to see except people
c. The discounts were quite attractive, but considering it's GSS, it sounds kinda rip-off.
Yoga Class
-----------
On Sun, the same day I went to the PC Show, I had yoga class at night. Interestingly all our 'Uma-rian' jokes were quashed as the instructor is a guy, not some Indian lady.. haha. OOps. Anyway yoga is kinda like a stretching exercise.. I found it quite difficult as my flexibility sucks. Probably due to my constant usage of certain muscle groups and neglecting of others... hopefully I gain some flexibility soon and maybe from there on, i can work on those hard-to-shed fat areas..
Ramble of the Day
------------------
a. Being nice means everyone tells you all their problems.
b. Being nice and capable means everyone asks you to solve all their problems.
c. Being nice and stupid means you solve people's problems and lose your own benefits.
d. Being evil and capable means everyone else solves your problems.
e. Being evil and stupid means you give yourself and others more problems.
f. Being evil means everyone ignore you and your problems.
Which is you?
Nice and stupid
