Ohayoo~
Yesterday was the first time my family tried out life in Punggol. Erm, ok, actually we didn't sleep there but just began the day there. Point was that ma didn't want to take public transport to the new home to supervise the installations so we all had to drive there early in the morning. I bathed there in the morning before proceeding to class. The first time I took a bath at my new home (not a good experience) and then a short walk to the mrt nearby (i timed it and it was 8 mins). The distance to the mrt is roughly the same as my current home. Punggol, despite being the final stop, was just as crowded in the mornings. It was really crowded by the time it passed by Serangoon station. The ride took 22mins to reach Dhoby Gaut station. Bad thing is that now have to walk some distance if I want to go SOB.. grr.
My conclusion - living in Punggol now is really really troublesome..for the time being.
Ok, back to the topic about food and memory.. hmm, here's some stuff that I find myself associating some memory with..
Chilli fishball
----------------
Reminds me of the incident when I was younger, I picked up the money of a schmate who dropped it and didn't return to her. As a mental compensation these days, even if there is $50 on the floor, I still don't pick it. Hmm.. when can I erase my guilt? Oh by the way, these days I dun really find myself eating chilli fishballs..
KFC Dine-In (with my family)
----------------------------
Eating KFC with my family always reminds us of our great grandmma who went to heaven around 12 years ago. That was probably the last time I cried so much for somebody, cry untill fall asleep... arh well, too bad nowadays today's KFC no more of those old kind of salad... so sad!
Steam-Bun Burger / Sunny-side Egg
----------------------------------
Reminds me of the footballing antics during secondary school, grab a burger, bite and off you go to the football mess. Sunny-side Egg reminds me of the breakfast times i had with Zhibin, and occassionally Dan.
Ice Jelly / Peppermint Milk Tea
--------------------------------
This is a secret to be archived in my memory =p
Wahahaha, okie so hope you guys get some inspiration and tell me more about yourselves! Maybe next time we can use songs instead of food to discuss about the memories that are linked to certain songs. I mean of course you can keep the memory private, but maybe just introduce the song to everyone~
Alright! Term left with 1 report, 1 presentation, 1 quiz (later) and 2 weeks to go before we look forward to the 4 month holiday~ wheee!
Warmest Wishes

Hello all~~
The previous post had many many valuable responses that I never expected. Will like to thank all of you who show so much care and concern for me... I will keep your advices in my mind.
Guess some of you may have already known that I had ended my services as a travel consultant. Will be taking a month's break and then perhaps find something to do to get some $$ to pass the holidays in peace.. part time job I guess. Maybe something just as interesting as the previous job.. hehe.
The entire week was pretty tiring.. had to rush a presentation and then a couple of reports. Now left with marketing report to tackle for this upcoming week. That's about all, I think.
My Punggol home keys have arrived some two weeks ago and we are now pretty busy with the installations of stuff and some light renovation. Cash is tight but demand for furnishings are quite high (not my room, ok). Hopefully we can sell the home quickly and get it over and done with. Anyone interested in living here in Yishun? Hehe. Let me know ok? You should know how well the amenities here are, if not, feel free to ask me~ We aimin to sell 170k due to the great location here.. it's abit on the high end, but i'm sure somebody will be able to see the value of living here.
Mmm...oh on Sat Pika and I went to queue for Angela's autograph! Hehe. 1.5hrs and we got her autograph le.. too bad I didn't buy her cd, so no autograph for me.. Angela sang 3 songs live there in J8.. they were fantastic! I particularly like the song 'Zhen De'. Maybe when there is an opportunity you should try to hear it on radio! Nice nice! She's quite pretty but maybe not as pretty as Rainie Yang and Jolin Tsai or Cyndi Wang (all cuties eh?)
Okie.. that's should be all for the week.. before I go, I shall leave you a question to ponder about.
"Is your favourite food linked to a memorable incident, other than the qualities it posseses, taste, smell, sight and feel?"
For example, as you all should know I like eating 'yan jiao mian' but it doesn't remind me of any incident because I simply like the taste, smell and sight of it. But some food reminds me of some incident, which I will tell you more in the next post.. hehe. Share share ok?

Dear friends
When was it that I began to lose focus on life? I really cannot remember, but looking at some of my friends' nicks saying 'slack now, perish later', I cannot really fathom why am I not doing what I am supposed to do. Here the question is 'what the hell am I supposed to do anyway?'
What was important to me then didn't seem to be important anymore now.
Hence it brings up a thought: How do you determine what can be done for the short term and what should be done for the long term, if your priorities keep changing and changing?
My dear friends, what are your priorities in life today? Share share leh?
School
======
Personally, I didn't think I would come thus far. 10 years ago, people were saying 'wah, you are a graduate!' As time progressed, it seemed like getting into university was chicken, nearly everyone on the street has a degree of some sort. I really felt cheated. Even if I didn't really burn any oil to get here, what is the purpose in all to get here in the first case? Did I arrive here by my own merit or sheer luck? Not too sure of all these, but in today's context, my politically correct answer is 'It is a licence to the future' while my heart says 'A degree education is just a simulation of your future 5-10 years life' If today Joyce says she is dying of schoolwork, 5 years later, I bet she will find working life a breeze. But for me, I don't want my life 5 years later to be a breeze because today I nearly died working so hard. I prefer living today with a slight breeze and later also with a slight breeze. Hence today, my first priority, unlike most people, is not school but rather my well-being.
Work
=====
You can say that I'm doing like 1 full-time job and 2 part-time jobs (these 2 are non-income) at the same time (coupled with schooling). To me, the dollars and cents that come with work are not so important because my family is surviving well (we don't mind more aid from the government though =p) but the most important thing is to learn what I want to learn. As you know I have already submitted my resignation to my current company, but I gave a politically correct reason inside, rather than what I really felt. In fact, I felt that I had learn enough for my interest and it's time to go on and find something else to do. Work is never a priority in my life because I believe you should infuse interest, passion with your work. I feel no passion in my current work anymore although I still possess the huge interest. Perhaps one day I will resume my interest in the travel industry with the passion I once had in the beginning.
Life and Family
===============
Life to me is about doing something satisfactory (in this case, let's exclude the scope of work and school). In some sense, perhaps we should think of it this way - some people are satisfied being able to play a few songs on the piano, some are satisfied by going jogging regularly (or keeping themselves fit) while others enjoy recreational activities such as playing video games, watching tv, etc. Enjoying life with your family, loved ones, is just as important, if not, more important than pursuing a career that earns you big bucks but you end up going home to see people who were once familiar in the past become strangers today. I do not advocate couples to stick together all the time (you will get sick eventually anyway, haha) but I guess there is still some need for a get-together at times, whether it's with your loved ones, with your buddies, or even with your dear fish swimming in the fish tank. It's just that simple.
Yet I feel that these days when I get back home, my mother only bugs me with more work. My dad occassionally talks to me about football and stuff, so it's much better. My brother constantly barrages me with stupid questions that I get irritated, but it's more because of the wrong timing. By the time my parents and me are home, usually it's 10-11pm at night. That sort of timing is mostly occupied by discussion about my dad's businesses, our plans on moving house, etc. It's more work oriented than life oriented, and hence we have somehow lost our lives to work. We rarely sit together for a meal now, less the occassional late night dinners my parents and I have. My brother and I don't play any 2-player games anymore recently, no more WE.. I guess I need to get more time at home and help everyone to relax more by sharing more of the workload at home.
Friends
========
Close friends are rare to come by. I lost my best friend to social causes some years ago, but today I have a bunch of friends and the 7seas whom I say, are just outside the 'best friends' line I draw. Different people may have different definitions of what they think a 'good', 'close' and 'best' friend is. Here's mine for some referencing:
'Good' - chat freely about stuff in life, know one another phone numbers, names, residential area, email address, basic interests, meet up once in a while (on or offline)
'Close' - the above plus being able to talk about sad stuff in life, and possibly it's on your list to wish for important occassions like birthdays, CNY, Christmas, etc. And possibly the few people you will invite to your home for chit chats, dvd watching, go together on trips etc.
'Best' - the above plus being the first (for those without a lover)/second person you will whine to about stuff you can't tell your family, play stupid silly games with, share dreams, cry with, etc.
Friends are important to anyone, and friends can also make or break your life. I hold very high priority for my friends, whether they are good, close or best friends, or even associates. I hope to make as many good friends as possible, but of course, there's only so much attention I can give to each of them... so there's some limit I guess. Luckily, these stuff are usually attributable to fate and hence, we needn't worry too much about being unable to find good friends. However, there is still a need for prudence when making friends as I mentioned, friends can make or break your life.
Love
====
Needless to say, everyone has very high priority for this. I shan't talk much about it except that you can only truly love by taking off all your personas, be the true you (or at least the person you truly want to be). Hopefully all of you can find someone in life that you can spend your life CLOSELY with.. too bad, my love life is like the barren desert... and i'm sinking in the quicksand.
My time is soon to be up, maybe another 50% to go... i just wanna focus on living the life i want, working for my passion, to repay mother nature for her wonderful creations, to have a happy family where we all work hard together to live a well fulfilled life together, and to help my friends to live a good life together as well. We should be thankful that fate brought us together out of so many randomness in life....
I thank you for being part of my life, dear all.
Gratitudes

Hi all, I am trying to see if I can summarise the whole weekend in 15 mins before I go to marketing class later. Hahaha. This is interesting because I'm bloggin at kpt in school, sitting beside the weindow and I think there will be people peeking in now and then =p
10 Mar 06 Friday
Friday was a real interesting day as I had a super long comms session (dunno how many hours) with Ms E throughout the day and it only ended till 3am in the morning on Sat morning!? I mean it's pretty interesting to learn more about her and the past. The funny thing is that I forgot I had QM quiz on Sat morning until I was brushing my teeth at 8am in the morning! Hahaha.
11 Mar 06 Saturday
Luckily the quiz seemed easy! Even though I was late for 5 min, I was the second one to leave the seminar room around 930am. Maybe it's because it was MCQ and I don't how to ascertain if I was right anyway. It was back to the office again as usual. The plan to visit the IT show was scrapped as I decided to go with Ms E to find Pikachu's present. My brother also demanded that I go Queensway SC with him to accompany him for his $400 football-stuff-budget spending spree so the IT Show was definitely out. We walked and walked around to find the present but there was nothing we could decide confidently with all the mixed opinions. Also, I had to catch Kevin for the camera back so when we eventually met up, Kevin suggested bringing us to the Mont Blanc boutique in Takashimaya. Nothing was within the budget there! (and also, now I know Kevin has a very expensive wallet, wahaha =p). Next we returned to TSC Dept Store to see if the Braun Buffel wallet was available but Ms E couldn't remember the exact design Pikachu wanted. Eventually, nothing was bought as Gerald had a differing opinion (jigsaw puzzle)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am continuing here as I didn't manage to finish it in 15mins.. haha.
So...
Kevin had to run again for his next appointment while I had to go and meet my brother at Queensway for his buying spree. Ms E had nowhere to go, and said she will be roaming. I guessed it would be pretty boring, so I tried to influence her to go Queensway with me with the reason of looking at the shoes that Pikachu wanted us to check. And yeah, she agreed eventually, but not before we proceeded to Far East Plaza to buy her new bag. At that moment, I was wondering why would anyone pay $35.90 for that kind of bag on the spur, but it looks like she was aiming at it for quite some time. Well, after that we took the bus to Queensway.
It was super tiring to wait for my brother as all the boots he wanted had gone out of sizes for his feet, so he was looking at other options at the same time. We managed to find Pika's shoe, but again, as usual, we had opposite views on whether he should buy it or not. (As usual, nearly always) Anyway Pika eventually replied that he would prefer to buy in Singapore rather than Hong Kong as it was cheaper here. After all the shopping, we managed to have dinner at Alexander food centre around 8+ and my brother treated her for her food as he felt bad making her wait for him as well. It was so crowded and smoky that day but I guess the good food's worth it. Think Tiong Bahru's still better. Anyway we took 855 back together and had a long chat till we departed at Khatib MRT (maybe if my brother wasn't around, I would have felt obliged to send her back like Pika always do)
12 Mar 06 Sunday
Morning began with a chaeuffering service of my parents and her 'sacred place' friends to a charity food fair run by the Taoist authority of Singapore (not sure of the exact name). After that it was back home and ready for the football game at NP again with Johnny and co. I think I was pretty average that day, but the hot sun was killing me. Eventually the game ended around 1pm. My brother and I rushed back as I was looking towards to going JB to collect my lenses. Unfortunately when I got home and checked www.onemotoring.com.sg, the traffic situation was unfavourable and hence I didn't go in the afternoon. The situation persisted till around 6+. I felt confident and set off - true enough, it was a breeze getting there.
But wait!
When I was finally at the shop front, it read:
'We are closed earlier today due to a joyous family occasion'
PENGZ! All the trouble I took was fruitless! Feeling bored as Pika would only be back around 10+, so I just went shopping around. Found some great stuff! Nike Air Force 1 at 50RM and etc. Shan't tell you. Anyway I spent all my ringgit till only enough to get me back home. Never spent so much of my own money in one go on clothes and accessories! But none are intended for myself in fact. Haha. Only the snacks I bought are intended for myself and my family. With some 3-4 plastic bags, I dragged myself back home praying that it will be a breeze as well.
Unfortunately, it was a stupid jam at the Singaporean immigration section!! How astonishing it can get, Singaporean side being jammed? Ah well, there were like so many people... flooded. I managed to get back home eventually only at 10pm. So it was a mad rush to wash up and get ready to fetch Pika back. 1010 was the flight arrival, but I only managed to get out of home at 1025! Anyway it was some good timing as I reached the arrival hall pick-up zone, he was already there. BUT I didn't see him! My eyesight sucks (and it was like a mad rush plus a mindset with him still picking liquors in DFS, though I must say this time I was wrong, =p) Well, I couldn't pick up the phone while driving, so I drove straight to the car park. Eventually We managed to link up and finally we were on the way home! Had a long chat till around 11+ on the way home...HK is so fascinating that we will be popping over for the bulk of our Macau trip~ yay!
Here's what he gave me from his 6D5N trip:

Kinako - made in Taiwan, looks Japanese and sold in HK (pengz) The orange and pink ones taste the best~
My brother's shoes:

Yeah, so that concludes the weekend... One of the most relaxing weekend after CNY, I guess. I managed to finish plenty of work during the weekdays ma...
Alright, let's look forward to the post #231~

To all my dear friends, fans, blogspies, and whosoever~
Yeah, the post you have been waiting for so so so LONG! Wonder if my memory still serves well to bring you through the Genting experience we had truly enjoyed. The photos are up under the photo album, so feel free to check them out! They were uploaded in a jumbled fashion though (oops).
To cut short the usage of Pikachu and Jeffire, they will be combined to be known as PJ.
19 Feb 06 Sunday 5.30am
=======================
You can read what happened the few hours before our departure. Basically the aim was to get to Queen St bus interchange by 630am on the first 851 bus departing from Yishun. Although the bus was late, we still managed to fly to the destination at 615am~ While Pikachu was yawning as though he has yet to sleep for months, Jeffire was so excited that he was wide awake despite not sleeping for the past 22hrs. Soon the bus came and another 2 couples, 1 middle-aged, and the other a few years above our age. They were real noisy for a while until the bus departed at 645am. Too bad we didn't take their photo.. hehe. They were one source of laughter for both PJ throughout the trip, even till at Genting. Hahaha.
19 Feb 06 Sunday 2.25pm
========================
I shan't tell you about the scenery along the way for he was bored to sleep by the repeating palm trees... heh. Nonetheless, he witness the entire mountain ascent by the bus and he says it must have been some engineering miracle that they could let so many people go up the mountain with ease. *clap clap* Some turns were so steep that he thought the bus could have toppled anytime! However all was well and easy to the end. PJ were the last to get off the bus.
Woohoo! The weather was unexpectedly cooler than the bus. It was like aircon blowing all over the place! As the place was crowded with people flowing in like us, we had some difficulty finding our hotel. Eventually we managed to get to our hotel - Theme Park Hotel. Here are some pictures on the way to the hotel.

Hotel Corridor

P Opening the Door
We took some time to open the stupid door because we din know how to insert the card key. Hahaha.
After throwing the stuff into the cupboard, we rested awhile and then went to find our dinner as we were very hungry. Our first meal --> Merrybrown. It was just situated at the hotel lobby! We shared a meal and then moved on to find other stuff for our dinner.

Misty Genting
P was very happy with the cold cold mist and pranced around like a small kid. He took another photo of me when I was looking at the sky.

J looking up
After visiting the casino to make my Genting Worldcard (din bet a cent at all), we checked around the area to know where to get around the next day, the theme park ride prices, the FnB establishes and finally we stopped at the ramen store Grace intro us. P ordered the Penang Prawn Noodle while I ordered Char Siew ramen. Grace ahhh, P says the prawn noodle is too hot for his mouth. Wahaha. Some more photos here. We took these photos on another day as day 1 too tired le.

Yummy noodles!

Meeeeee
After eating, we made our way back. The mist was really thick and hid the hotel from view. We still managed to find our way back and after washing up, we watched some tv, a Chinese horror/comedy movie (from the 80s). We laughed a whole dumb lot as the show was extremely funny. After the hysterics, we then ended the day sleeping.
20 Feb 06 Monday
================
The day began with me trying to wake P up. Perhaps he didn't sleep well because I was coughing at night. I think the best way to wake him up is roll him off his bed. Haha. We ate brunch at KFC after another long walk and hesistative deliberation. Then another short walk before we went to the theme park with the skies all clear. It was the start of my nightmare.

Warming Up

P says "Let's try this!" (Nah, Grace said it was a dumb one)

An UFO?
The above was the first ride we taken. It was a great show of centripedal force at work. Basically you sit on a baskety seat, lock yourself with the seat belt thingy, then get flung around by the machine. Wooaaahhhhh... I was screaming all sorts of Japanese words when I was on it. I thought I would be flown away.. but that was not the end.
Spinning Cup photo (spin is too slow so not groggy after end of ride)

P flew up the sky after the photo above, bounced up and down, came down laughing like a devil. Those sneering type of laughter... as if nothing happened. Scary?

I nearly died of heart attack if not for the nice guy beside me. You can see how tight I was hugging to the safety harness throughout the whole ride.. sigh.
So I will list the rides that come along as the photos we took are too many and it takes hours to load all these up.
- Spinner (see the description above)
- Spaceshot (that stupid fly up, dip down at G, bounce up n down thing you see above)
- Spinning Teacup (just a sit in and spin urself while the world spins ride)
- Pirate Train (a stupid horror house ride, P screamed when he saw creepies...-_-)
- Flying Jumbo (a spinning ride in the air while you can elevate yourself by pressing a button)
- Astro Fighter (another spinning ride but our plane din fly high cos it was spoilt)
- Double Deck Carousel (the horse riding ride lor)
- Grand Prix Fun Kart (Go-kart was wet n smelly...stupid helmet stupid rain)
- Super Toboggan (an old use-your-weight-to-go-down-the-slide ride)
- Cyclone (it was sucky for me.. i hate falling at G)
- Antique car ride.. hahaha. relaxing ride
- Monorail ride.. this one have to wait a while but can take lotsa photos
- Flying dragon (this is a low level roller coaster)
- Rolling Thunder Mine Tran (woah this one is another scary thrill ride, you may bump into the wall if ur head is too tall, u get shaken left right left right, and sometimes it ends up passing the ending line, so you go on for a little while before taking the technician's route back, which we did)
- Sungai Rejang Flume ride (we got real wet so this was the last ride, it's the water flow ride that has 2 free fall segments. Dangerous part is that there is no safety belt! So we hung on to the side bars, and the boat was wet.
mm.. think we didn't take those bump boats rides, din manage to go dinosaur land, din manage to take the Corkscrew ride (din wan to take it even though it was available on the last day) and also the mini-train ride and the ferris wheel called Matahari .. hehe. The thrill rides were real scary lor.. scared of flying out of the seat, scared of breaking my leg cos i got leg injury.... scary scary. P not scared wan, on the contrary. He only scared of the creepy crawlies and the horror shows. The thrill rides like nothing to him.. PENGZ.
After a whole day of thrills, we were super wet after the last ride and then walked back to the hotel to get changed. Our first dinner buffet we chose First World Cafe! Food variety wise was good but quality wise was normal. After the dinner, we walked around somemore to check out what to do the next day. We decided to take the cable car after we found a new area (Genting/Highland Hotel area)! Haha so fun, but it was initially very scary as the thrill of the day had yet to subside.

P looking bored

Me lookin like VIP. Hehe.
After the cable car ride down, we took the ride up again after exploring the Lower Sky Station. There is a photo we took with the clown in the photo album. Heh. We then went back in the cold cold weather again. TV for Day 2? Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck! so cuteeeeeeeeee! we had another great laugh and went to bed.
21 Feb 06 Tuesday
=================
Tuesday was a much relaxing day as we took a longer sleep till about 12noon. Lunch was at the Japanese restaurant I spotted the day before. Wahahaha. We ate unagi, soft shell crab, sushi, tempura soba, nabe udon and nearly had the matcha ice-cream. But we wanted other options... oh ya betta list our dessert trail
day 1 - baskin & robbin shake
day 2 - mcdonald spearmint mcflurry
day 3 - strawberry sundae at BK
P tried to convince me to take the ultimate signature ride -- the Flying Coaster... he took 30mins to talk me into it lor! Hahaha. Then finally we spent that 10RM each and went for the ride... woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooahhh I screamed like mad again (he also) but in fact it was not as scary as Spaceshot.. haha. maybe because lying down and locked up in the cage.
After that we went shopping to kill off some of the energy and then we went proceeded for bowling!! P beat me in 2 rounds out of the 4 rounds we played so it's a draw. Haha. I was just unlucky ok!
We went around shopping somemore as there was a need to spend the ringgit we had... P bought the brown BUM bag after we deliberated for a long time over whether black or brown. I am sure we made the right choice! He also got himself a Billabong belt. I bought some food stuff after dinner at Resort Cafe (the food sucks) and we went for another cable car ride as there was still 2 more updown vouchers left. It was scary! The cable car stopped halfway in mid air!!! Anyway P was trying to take photos of the Genting/Highland Hotel from the cable car when it was on the up route but the camera was not powerful enough.
As we were really tired, we went to enjoy the breeze again before departing back to the hotel. The next day we had to get up early and take the 10am bus back as we had a talk at SIM at 7pm. Nearly didn't make it on time as by the time we got back, it was 5+pm. Were so so so so tired!
The entire trip was real fun, the right company and the right weather made it real memorable. I will never forget this trip - my first trip to Genting Highlands. Oh well, we didn't play at the casino =p so dun bother asking that.
Yeah yeah, any questions please feel free to ask, you can see the photos at the photo album, it's collected from both our cameras. =)
