Just one additional post before the review/resolutions post. Perhaps this should be the last post of the year. Of course, as the title suggests, it's about the long Christmas weekend.
*To cut short my typing, I gave an acroynm "YL" to Pikachu, my dearest Pokemon :p
24 Dec - Xmas Eve
-------------------
Spent the first part of the day in the office, and handling all sorts of last minute bookings. Rich people are indeed very demanding. Anyway, made a major mistake by not calling the customer to inform him that his tee-time wasn't available yet and will let him know on Xmas Day. So he filed a complaint immediately when he dialled and discovered that the concierge team was off duty already. Luckily, I did call him back on Sunday despite it being a non-work day to inform him of the tee-time. (and luckily I did manage to get him a slot, otherwise I could be sacked..) Anyway the lesson learnt here is: "Do not let your customer be stuck in no man's land and tell him who and when the next communication opportunity will be allocated to him".
I caught a picture of the rainbow while waiting forYL to finish a Xmas visit! Wahaha. My parents came and fetched me for dinner and we went Crystal Jade at Causeway Point. I tell you, the food sucked and $87 for 3 of us (me, father and mother) is really stupid. I have learnt another lesson here: "When you are treating, choose what you can really afford to treat". Anyway I got Ah Kai's present, which we gave him at the gathering on Monday as well as Serene's present (as of today, still yet to post it out to her..oops)
25 Dec 05 - Xmas Day
-----------------------
The first thing in the morning was to go back to the office and settle the case above as well as another stupid case. After that, I returned to Yishun to meet YL before we went on a round trip around Singapore.
Yishun -> Changi Airport -> Suntec -> City Hall -> Holland V -> Kent Ridge Park -> Choa Chu Kang -> Yishun.
It was an exciting trip although it was super tiring with so much walking involved. Oh ya, YL made a stupid order called 'Parma Ham' at the pizza restaurant we were at in HV. Parma Ham is essentially salted pork strips in olive oil. It sucked to the core. I managed to catch Maria Sharapova on tv during our dessert time at Gelare.. wahaha. She's really really very attractive and we can see it from how the camera is placed to capture a glimpse of what's under her tennis skirt. You never see the same view from the other camera filming Venus Williams. (oh if they did that, I would have choked on the ice cream *_o)
26 Dec - Boxing Day
--------------------
Settled the final case in the morning and then went on a frantic rush to buy stuff for the bbq gathering. On hindsight, I shouldn't have bought prawns and we could had a lower budget bbq. Anyway, the brothers managed to gather with Clarissa and Lixia joining us. The best part of the day was playing mahjong! Wahaha. Although no money was involved, pride was on stake so we had a good time laughing with one another either making silly mistakes or managing to avoid a tragic loss with some good defending. I demand mahjong again soon! The food was too much again (even though I have already downsized the budget). Maybe next time we should just bbq marshmallows and eat mashed potatoes. Hahaha. Kevin's marshmallows were the best, memorably crunchy on the outside, creamy on the inside~~~~ YUMMY! Too bad we had Kenneth unavailable nor as Eileen, who just returned from KL/Desaru -- Bo jio! :(
The day ended around 11 odd as I returned home with Alex on a midnight train. Had a bath, a short chat on MSN, and then it was back to bed with work impending the next morning (and well, nearly everyone at the gathering had to work the next morning...yeah, we are all part of the working population le.. time flies)
So that was my Xmas 2005 experience! (yeah, it was quite a bleed..) My best present for the festive season is a new wallet which I so so so so so so so much needed to go with my new status as a consultant =p
Happy New Year!
