A holiday Monday!
This morning we were playing street soccer in NUS again. This time my brother and father came with me for the game as they were free. As usual, my performance was still not as good during my army days...sorely lacking teamwork. This is so unlike me!! I'm a teamwork advocate! But when it came to those chances when I could just square the ball and get an assist, I went for goal instead. Zhibin was certainly right. I was too frustrated with a series of misses and this hampered my ability to work with my team.....arghz! Will keep this in mind.
Thanks to Zhibin who made the trip down with his buddy Jonathan. Zhibin is still as reliable as ever, playing well in his defensive midfielder role as well as participating in the attacks. His buddy Jonathan was even more impressive. Very effective player on the wings.
Yesterday my parents and I went to the car showroom because my father intended to buy a new car, but after seeking advice from some '高人'(religious expert), he decided instead to get a van. Now I wonder what he will have to tell the sales agent...It will definitely look stupid if you say you are not buying because of religious advice or what should I say, superstition? Well, that's not my problem and I'm not going to bother myself with all the trouble.
Then as the day was boring, and my brother had a 3-sided mahjong going on at home, I couldn't resist the temptation and joined in the fray. Eventually my brother overturned his losing streak and I lost $6. Hmm...everytime it's like that. I always bring luck to my brother. He only gives me trouble, but of course we are still close brothers despite always making fun of each other and squabbling with each other after every soccer game we play together (Like today, all the guys went uneasy as both of us had a heated post match review)..
On Saturday, the freaking gushy rain spoilt the day so much as all the girls were either stuck outside(at the bus stop), inside(at home,pls.. you dirty chaps), or had urgent matters to attend to. Luckily my army buddies still came and we had a good time singing karaoke at my home. Eventually they sang till I fell asleep.... too tired after running plus preparatory work for my guest. Although there was a big match at night, the FA Cup, but as they all stayed far away, it wouldn't be nice to have them stay past midnight to watch a soccer game. Unfrotunately I had Guiqiang who came at the wrong time (830pm) while we were just stepping out of the door. But phew, we went to Chong Pang together as my dad drove us to buy some last minute bets (btw, Guiqiang doesn't bet) before returning back home to watch a Taiwanese variety show and thereafter, the FA Cup, which was such a bore. (I didn't bet on that, by the way) The variety show made Guiqiang laugh so much while Jiaxing was totally uninterested in such shows...hmm....there was this Victoria in the show who had big boobs and was never shy in talking about it....diaoz, ya about 90% of the show had boob jokes peppered all over.
I think my blog has garnered a steady readership... but wonder if it has made you understand my life and me more? Do you only read the lines, or do you read between the lines? Heh...quite difficult to catch/understand my thoughts right? I like to read other blogs because it gives a first person insight to the person's thoughts and life. Yet blogs aren't always putting forth the truth, the right, and the just to the readers. Jokes aside, we can always find that there is some sort of self-editing because either we are afraid of getting totally exposed(losing an image in front of others), or we are afraid of getting into trouble. This is the 'veiled' truth that we must always keep in mind when reading blogs. However I must declare here that whatever I write here is what I really think, and not written to please you or anyone else whatsoever. (there's never a title, a theme and just anyhow write what I think of) But many times I cannot pen it down directly for obvious reasons, and therefore, only people who truly care to read properly will then really understand why I wrote this and that. I wouldn't mind if you manage to dig any dirty secret/info nugget and expose it on the comments, because seriously I think writing this is also a way of finding people of the same frequency. It's not easy to find people of the same frequency you know.
Lastly,
Some people are always alone and they want to share their lives with others through blogging. Some others like to pen down all their frustrations and unhappiness, and seek some help from their readers. Sadly, there are those who use this personal space to attack others, and this is seriously not a good thing to do because everyone has their reasons when they do something. We need to listen to both sides before putting down any final verdicts. Although we will like to side with our own friends, seriously, I think we have to put justice before bonds, facts before opinions and general welfare before self-interest.
Let's say one day I declare that I don't like this so and so and he/she has done this and that, will you just take it in without giving any thoughts at all? Sometimes when I feel it's pointless, or when I know that it's going to infuriate the writer of the blog, I won't bother to write any replies, comments because many people nowadays are so self-centred, 'tight chest', and unwilling to take suggestions. Well, to me, I really wish that I can be as humble as possible and take in more suggestions.
Therefore, the conclusion is, feel free to make your point heard and feel free to put in your thoughts if you happen to have any. I know of a few non-vocal readers here... really want to know your truthful thoughts.
Complaint: My soles have 2 big holes on them after all the running....stupid Brooks shoes...but still, one day I hope all the running I do will kill the life of these shoes and once they get broken, I've succeeded~
Still drenched in sweat (soccer today + I really hate air-con)
