Hello! My apologies if you had some problem trying to read my blog last week. As of now, only Jason has made a complaint to me about being unable to load the page which I suspect is due to the background picture. Was Pikachu better or do you think Gaara is better? I like both of them very much....
Recently there has been a flurry of comments saying that I should not put on my nick "my singing sux". Well, I have been unable to keep the past standard which I set, whether I sing at home or at the latest ktv session on Fri with Yingzie, Charles and Yingzie's friend, Lili. I think it's due to the stupid weather...hot and cold fluctuating like oscillations. And perhaps due to a lack of sleep. I feel much better today, as I slept for a cool 8hrs, undisturbed, until, as usual, my mother waking me up with her shrill...diaoz. Yet I really feel much better.
Let's recall the key events since the last post.
On Friday morning I woke up at 645am despite sleeping only around 2am because I was too excited about the football game in NUS. It was an opportunity to test how much I have improved in my fitness. Sad to say, it has not improved much. However the game we had with the NUS guys was very exciting! The guys did very well, Zhenchang did a superb job as a goalkeeper, and the other guys, I can't recall their names very well, were solid too. Wonder how they keep that sort of standard. However I was slightly disappointed with the team play...ya I understand it's because I couldn't keep the ball long enough for them to get to the front, and that's why despite being in good positions (and onside too) they did not pass the ball to me. I should had told them although I always stand in the front, I don't have a tendency to shoot the ball because my shooting sucks. What I try to do is to drag the defence out of line using my positioning and movement into spaces. And I prefer to get assists rather than goals, ie anyone who gets into shooting position will get a last pass from me. Heh. But too bad, we need more time to play together to know each others' preferences on the field.
After the tiring game I rushed back home for the ktv session only to be drenched by the rain when I got out of the house. Serves me right for taking the long winded bus... Have to apologise to the people who waited for me... sorry~ The ktv session was not very 'high' but had a wonderful time singing Japanese songs! Yeah. I really think Partyworld ktv is notches above Kbox! Thanks to Yingzie who organised a ktv.. sorry for being unable to stay till the end.
After the ktv I rushed to get a cake for Ah ma's birthday(father's mother) and then took the train down all the way to Bugis to Liang Seah Street to find a restaurant for the dinner. Found a good one, but it was super crowded. It was very irritating to have got the table only to lose it because my parents and aunts/uncles were late. Then when they arrived we had to wait about 15mins for the table of foreigners to leave...arghz. And Ah ma interestingly got a cake herself. So my cake we decided to keep it for Mothers' Day celebration the next day. It was indeed difficult to order the dishes because I wasn't the one paying! Had to check the budget as well because... my aunts and uncles (my brother's 2 sisters and their husbands) took it as a free dinner for themselves as well. It isn't as if the bill is so expensive, and my father had to pay for ah ma and her husband as well (which we only call ah cek because my mother refuses to acknowledge him and my father's father is living in Lim Chu Kang...). I really don't understand why they can't do it like my mother's side where all the siblings pay for their own shares and share "ah gong and popo's" bill (yeah we call them like that, and they all call me 'ah boy' ) Oh well, in the end my mum praised me for picking a good place with good food, satisfactory service and cheap price~ haha. Lesson for the day is that there are real thick skinned people... haiz.
Sat morning was another bout of soccer with Jiaxing and his friends. My brother joined in as well, but Seet and Charles flew the aeroplanes. Duh. Anyway we had a good time playing but as usual I was playing like an idiot.... arghz. My brother says my acceleration sucks big time... and I seem to take ages to react. My defense was that I cannot put my heart down to push myself full force... kinda like a lack of hard-heartedness although I really can do much more than that...sianzzzzz.. I need to train my mind more than my body I guess.
Nothing else much to say... just need to force myself to put my heart down to find a full time job as I had quit my weekend job, my last weekend coming next week. After that I can start arranging all the mahjong, singing classes again. Yeah.
Hmm.. maybe I should say this to end the post on a positive note. I can start to feel the results of the regiment... definitely look much better than a month ago. Hope I can stay on course and achieve my target by my birthday.
Oh ya, it's Zhenchang's birthday today. Happy birthday to him! And Happy Mothers' Day to all the mothers in the world~!!!
Looking forward
Jeffire
