One week of school has passed.
Let's lament on the bad things first this round.
Firstly, I can't find groupmates for Creative Thinking, Analytical Skills if I stick to my no-same-teammate-from-other-courses principle. Arghz..I dunno if the Profs will help me on that or not. Die la.. hope I fall into a team which doesn't mind too much.
Secondly, I haven't got any books yet... wonder what books I can not buy.. trying to cut as much costs as possible. The finance text that I will be using is totally new, so have to buy it to do homework.. arghz.
Thirdly, I was damn embarassed on Sat morning when I turned up for an entrepreneurship talk at Buona Vista and couldn't pay the $5 entry fee. The check I banked in on Friday afternoon was only cleared on Saturday afternoon....ended up going home instead of the talk.
Lastly, it was a real bad day on Fri for table tennis when I didn't manage to make it into the first team by losing to the guy who played unorthodox table tennis..it was partly due to my cockiness.. what the hell.. anyway it isn't so bad because i didn't want to represent the school this year since I won't be playing. It just meant no free t-shirt for this year....
Okie.. the good things that happened.
Made some new friends in school.. SMU Ventures, previous classmates (still cold with some of them though).. blah blah.. hope things go on smoothly so that I will be comfortable in class real soon. Still the loner I am in school.
Did 2 good deeds on the bus by taking initiative. The first one was that after school one day at night on bus 855, there was this old woman (but not poor wor) who boarded the bus and didn't have enough value in her EZ-link card. The driver noticed it and asked her to pay in cash, 80cents, but she didn't have that exact amount and also she didn't want to pay extra (she had an $1 coin). I was fed up because the driver didn't want to drive on before she paid... so I went up and said I will pay for her thinking that she didn't have the cash on hand, and asked the bus driver to move on quickly. In the end I paid 80cents in coins for her, and she returned me a dollar, which I gave back 20cents change. That's considered a good deed to me because I saved all the passengers time. The other good deed I done was to talk to 2 TKGS girls who were on their way home but not knowing where the bus was taking them to. (bus 76, after collecting DVDs from Jinki) Spoke to the girl who had to go Sembawang and also suggested ways for her to get to school and back quickly. Usually I won't bother..but after working at the airport, I'm kinda much kaypoh...haha.
Other stuff I did...I went to SMU Ventures chalet a few hours ago and was the 2nd last person to get there..the girls were struggling with the cooking and the Indian guys were lazing outside...haha..so I showed some culinary skills and they were impressed... I think there is this girl who is quite nice there....errmmm....but nice for a friend only... hahaha.
I also got my paycheck for the holiday job...not enough cash on hand to pay school fees le...dunno what to do liao... guess have to tok to my dad regarding his act-quietness... then i'm looking for another part time job too.....
lastly i'm looking to buy a PDA, with WIFI and can play MP3 wan.. hope u guys see a good model and tell me about it ok?
Write more about my thoughts soon. Sianzzzzzzz.. are you ready for CNY? Looking for fashion consultants..
