Today's quite a memorable day. It marks the start of a length of absence from the office... While I am at home, I have actually took some of the non-classified projects back to do, like WITs and the likes of it. This will help to fill up some void while I enjoy doing nothing at home. I guess I never really enjoy doing nothing, so I have marked out some activities I would like to do over this period. Lastly, unfortunately, I will have to be on standby to answer to my successor's questions if need be, as he is still unable to cope with the huge demand and the high standards set by a new boss. I pray that he will be able to grasp a way of working faster. This goes the same for our documentation clerk, Winston, who had been buried under a gigantic pile of work...
The table tennis tournament finally ended (for us) on Wed with a 5-0 trashing by the Commandos. In the end we will most likely get 11th out of 14 teams, with just a win to our name. I do hope next year the in-charge will view the sports more seriously and improve the way they prepared for the tournament, which was seriously inadequate. However the tournament has reignited my love for the game and probably I may just continue playing in university for leisure purposes.
The 2003/2004 Champions League season has finally ended with FC Porto from the Portuguese league claiming the trophy. So much for all the hype surrounding the top teams in Europe. Now FC Porto joins in as part of the top teams in Europe, yet their manager is leaving for greener pastures, possibly the money-lush Chelsea. Wherever he goes isn't my business but let's wish him success in his future endeavours. Likewise, for Monsieur Houllier too, who has just been sacked from my favourite English club, Liverpool FC. I felt that it was too abrupt, since Houllier had achieved the minimum target set. He should had been given another chance, but oh well, let's hope the new manager that comes in will be able to inspire the Reds to play top European football.
I've updated the itinerary to the Malacca trip. The main changes are that I shortened the trip by a day and included an offshore island beach visit as well. Read it here. Hope at least more person can join us..
Yesterday went Northpoint's Bengawan Solo with GQ n QY. They were looking for a cake for Vicky. Why I was with them is because we were all arrowed to do fatigue duty which started after office hours, 1730hrs and ended till 2000hrs. Anyway I saw this Pokemon cake..aww. I wished I had a camera phone to take it down to show you, but I ain't got any. Hahaha. Wonder if I should pick Pikachu or Psyduck..they are both so cute! Anyway, I won't be celebrating my 21st birthday, but I do hope it will fall in between the matriculation/orientation period so that there will be people spending it with me. Hahaha. It doesn't really matter at this stage, I guess. Gotta set new resolutions for the 21st year of life though...
This morning I met Ms Uma at the front gate. Sheepishly greeted her 'good morning' but at that moment I forgot her name until I entered the camp's gate. So in the end that was all. Hahaha. I doubt she remembers me anyway since she's one of the so called 'heck-care, just teach' that sort of teachers. Maybe I should return to school one day to visit my mentors, probably on a better occassion than any plain day as they would be very busy. I hope they are all doing fine..
2 of my 7Seas brothers encountered some problems related to their love life recently. The eldest is currently on a cross-road, waiting to cross over to the street opposite called 'overseas education'. The problem with studying abroad is just that you will have to put down everything you have here and start afresh there. I guess he's feeling confused about it these days without much knowledge of the life he is going to spend overseas. Should he or should he not pop the question. (This is kinda drama to me...) Tomorrow I will pay him a visit to take a look at how he 'vented' his frustrations by dying his hair. Haha. The other brother, my 3rd brother, had just broken up with his girlfriend. Not that they had spent a long time together nor this isn't his first relationship, but perhaps it came at the wrong time. Just when he was getting more freedom to be able to spend more time with her, things had to become like this. Sigh, should I blame the organisation for the many many breakups I heard about, all due to the fact that the guy had less time to spend with the girl? The same old typical story, boy goes NS, girl goes university, girl finds a new, better, mature guy in university while boy struggles with life in camp, girl finds her feelings for boy dwindling day by day, and finally, the inevitable. On the other hand, there are so many touching love stories in war, man goes war, woman waits at home for him to return. Optimistically, man returns with/without victory safe and sound, the family is happy. Pessimistically, man is KIAed, woman doesn't know till the end of war, she either commits suicide or spend the rest of her life alone or with the children in hand...
Perhaps it's just simply that it takes 2 hands to clap. Singaporean girls are typically more demanding in terms of attention and reception. If you cannot provide them with the attention and understanding they want, that's it. So guys reading this, it's time you wake up! (it seems like i'm on the venus' side...oops, it's more like trying to please them so that i get a chance to get nearer...bwahaha)
Regardless of what has happened, I sincerely pray that everyone can put things behind and look forward to the next better one.
Regards
Jeffire
