Another weekend flew by! But it was a great weekend! Let's recap what I had done before I put up the last issue of the Newsbites here. All thanks to everyone for their support for the KTV Challenges and I hope I have helped all of you discover the fun in singing!

====================
The day started with plenty of cleaning. My parents were out to Desaru with my relatives so I became the owner of the home. Of course I could have never be comfortable with the whole mess at home so I set about washing, sweeping and mopping. My brother who was at home for the past half year was still unrepentant and refused to help out. I do hope in NS he will kena clean universe. Aniway after cleaning (which was after breakfast) I took a nice bath and got ready to go Junhao's place for the 1st Discussion for the 7Seas EOY Malaysia Backpack Trip. Well, I got there 1 hr earlier (since I lived the nearest) so I spent the hour talking to Junhao. Finally he showed me his keyboard and his playing skills! But he needs more training and practice of course....haha. Then he showed me his Fish Leong KTV DVD. Woah...so many nice songs to sing, but too bad I wasn't really in the mood to sing. The guys soon came, in this sequence, Jinki, Junkai, Kevin and finally Alex. However they didn't wanted to start the discussion because they preferred talking about their NS lives (which I felt super irritated) and then started to play games instead.. Ok. The game they played was Naruto (finally a chance to see what was it about, actually it was an interesting Ninja fighting game, a la comic style and dragonball feelalike). I felt bored and fell to sleep. Soon I was awoken with their shouts and laughter. I felt compelled to start talking about the trip preparations so at the very first opportunity I asked Junhao for a piece of paper and a pen. Luckily it worked and finally we sat down to talk. In the end there were some digression here and there but 1.5 hrs was enough to finish the general details. Feeling satisfied, I proceeded to ask the guys where did they want to have dinner, and if they wanted to watch the match - Arsenal Vs Liverpool. So in the end we had dinner together and watched the game together too. After the match they all went back home while I felt bored as Liverpool lost 2-4 to Arsenal after leading 2-1 at half time. What a comeback by Arsenal...! In the end Henry scored 3 goals and most of the guys scored heavily in the Fantasy League....haha.

==========================================
The day started hectically as I rushed to the hospital for my quarterly appointment. My ultrasound scan revealed no problems for my liver, but my blood test had some abnormal results so I was put back onto the pill, INDEFINITELY...oh man, wonder how can I afford it? Each pill costs $6.23! Everyday need to take one pill so roughly one month it costs $180+. For the time being, SAF is paying so not many problems. I hope this stupid thing recovers in the next 3 months so that I won't have to pay for the medicine..
After the appointment I had to rush home to get to the KTV. Another hectic rush as there was some hiccups here and there but in the end with SK's help we were able to get things done and soon they started pretty well. I met Jason midway in the lift surprisingly so we got to the ktv arena together. More up on the ktv and the dinner in the next blog featuring the last edition of the Newsbites.

=======================
The day started with my bro offerin to get breakfast. That was a surprise, but in the end it was more like a brunch as the time was about 11+am. Was still reeling from the super filling dinner the night before so I asked him to get chee cheong fun instead plus my favourite soya bean milk. Since it was brunch I got him to get me another soya beancurd too, for dessert. Haha. I spent the 2 hours eating and reading the Sunday Newpaper. The issue in which a Chinese student on our government scholarship remarking our youth are stupid and lazy was pretty hot. I reckoned he was angry at his project mates. I felt like him when I was doing project work in my JC. While I would not shy away from chatting with my classmates, those that whom I knew were never interested in doing work gave me a very bad impression. Anyway in the end my project I did the chunk of it while arrowing them to do the smaller parts. Haha. And in the end the stupid teacher said a website wasn't a great way to present the idea to the judges, I was like, in my heart 'hey come on, why are you still stuck in the powerpoint era?! The World Wide Web is the one of the best way to market your idea leh!!' Anyway in the end we didn't really score well but nevertheless, project work never played any part in our scores at all. And I was really surprised that my idea was actually thought of by someone else long ago and it came in the form of the EZ-Link cards we hold now. Hahaha. If I had the knowledge on building such cards, maybe I would have been the guy supplying all the EZ-Link cards now? Haha. What a far fetched dream...
Sorry for digressing! Anyway I spent the afternoon reading soccer news and then after sending the clothes to hang to dry out of the kitchen, my brother and I proceeded to go and play soccer at the street soccer court. His friend was there again, and as usual, out of full admiration of my brother's skills, he was pestering him for his contact. Hahaha. I am not sure if in the end my brother gave it to him but I guess my brother must be pretty famous in school (or maybe infamous). However my brother is really great in soccer so no qualms about it. Anyway the game ended when the sky turned grey and I had to rush back to get the clothes back into shelter. My parents soon returned and we checked out what they brought back...nothing really special to note. When the rain subsided, my father and I went downstairs to buy our bets and dinner. I had only a light serving of Dumpling Noodles and 2 pieces of popiah...haha.
And after watching some 6 episodes of .Dot Hack //Sign, the Newcastle Vs Arsenal match commenced. I already knew I won the SAF bet (at $5.45 odds) so I just needed one more winning ticket to level. And guess what, the match ended goalless so I won anoher one! Haha. The next day I woke up to know that Osasuna (which I labelled 'Giant Killers') beat Real Madrid 3-0. Wahahahaha. I won another 2 bets (Osasuna to win @ $7.20 and Osasuna +1.5 goals @ $1.70). While I only played $5 per ticket, it was enough for me to win back the expenditure on Saturday! Haha.
